HORRIBLE STAY AWAY!!! This hotel was chosen as I couldn’t find a reasonable price Airbnb that would accommodate my needs. I made the wrong decision. We had 10 ladies traveling so I decided to get the 3-two bedroom suites. When we arrived, the front of the hotel looked amazing, but upon entering it was another story. The lobby smelled of day old clothes. After checking in, I went to the elevator and I was concerned as there is no posted ‘verification’ sign, it appeared to be ripped off. I then realized after getting off the elevator as to why, the elevator wasn’t level and I almost tripped. Next one off the hallways had an industrial size garage can in the hallway catching the water dripping from the ceiling. I also saw two other smaller garage cans through out the hotel. I had to go outside and couldn’t get back in the hotel with my key card, later, the front desk person said it was out of order. We were supposed to have some pool time, but quickly change our minds as the pool looked like an elephant just took a bath in it. Then there were the cats, the two of them were always around and someone even had a “bowl” for them. I couldn’t leave one afternoon as a cat was on my black SUV. Now for the rooms, one of the rooms was ok, but the microwave was had burned marks in it, which made the room smell like burnt popcorn. Then there wasn’t a full set of plate ware for the 3 adults staying in the room. Another room had some extra visitors, ants and it look like they were multiplying daily. Another room had a different smell every time we came back to it, maybe the ventilation system was off. Another problem was the dogs, I mean pony. The dog was so big we could’ve road it. I understand you can bring pets, but that was a bit much. I didn’t eat the “free” breakfast as the food looked old. One other thing to mention is that I had to have read over a dozen different notes around the hotel, some referring to the elevator, others in the breakfast area, and some just on the walls randomly. Please choose a different hotel when traveling to the DFW area.

I’ve always enjoyed my stay at the Sonesta hotels in Arizona. They were clean comfortable and had amazing breakfast. Unfortunately my stay at the Irving Texas location in July 2025 was the opposite my room 103 was far from the entrance and since I walk with a cane, I park in the back for easier access only to find out the door key card entrance never worked. I reported it on Thursday when I checked in but still wasn’t fixed by the time I left on Sunday The decor throughout the hotel was dated inside the room. I found ants, bugs and dirty carpet. While showering the shower-head fell off and hit my foot before I managed to reattach it. The pool was filthy and not usable. The grass need to be cut also around pool area.Stray cats were constantly hanging around the pool and parking lot at one point I came out and found a cat sitting on the top of my van. The property also had many large dogs barking through the night and jumping at kids in the hallway, which gave the impression that people are living there with pets, rather than just stopping though the hotel. It was a surprise girls trip for me. So I didn’t want to complain between my family and I we had four rooms here and all of us were disappointment. This location does not reflect the standards. I’ve experienced it other Sonesta properties. Serious need of improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, and security. You have been warned, and I’d avoid this particular location at all costs.

I was bitten by a fire ant as I sat on the couch, and the walls are paper-thin. I had better nights of sleep while deployed to the desert sleeping on a cot. No coffee cups in the room. Will never stay there again.
