What a lovely stay. Quiet, comfortable, olde worlde, cheerful helpful staff. Room comfortable with character. Compared to the many other hotels I have stayed in, in and around Maidstone - this is an oasis. VFM!

"Great room, not a great view. "

Really nice looking room (Brigadoon) with a lovely 4 poster bed but we couldn't open the window because of the noise which looked like the air conditioning generators. So no nice view either. Room was hot so we put air-conditioning on but about every 10 minutes it sounded like a photo copier going off which kept waking us up. Facilities in the room were good and breakfast in bed was nice but half the items we asked for were missing like milk. We didn't eat anything else while we were there but had drinks at the bar, a little expensive but no more than I expected. Superb looking hotel with lots of history.

Very nice place, clean and tidy qith friendly staff. Brealfast was a bit strange having been asked 3 times for tea and then still having to wait.

This was a 2 day break. The hotel staff were all very friendly and courteous and most helpful. The rooms were excellent, quiet, comfortable and roomy ( we were in 'Constable'). Breakfast room had a lovely ambiance with plenty of choice including gluten free options.
