The Belsfield Hotel

We recently stayed at the The Belsfield Hotel as part of a team-building trip, and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. A special mention must go to Sarah French, who was incredibly helpful throughout the planning process and managed last-minute changes seamlessly. Everything felt very well organised and took a lot of the stress out of coordinating a large group, which made a real difference to our stay. The restaurant team were also outstanding. Miguel, who looked after our table, provided excellent service throughout our meals, and Moses behind the bar was equally brilliant, always welcoming and attentive. The food was fantastic, and the overall experience exceeded expectations. The setting, service and atmosphere all came together to create a really enjoyable stay for the whole group. We would happily return in the future and would highly recommend The Belsfield for both leisure and group stays. ---

We loved the location which was perfect. The style and history of the property was nice. The old lift was a very unique characteristic. The staff were very nice and attentive.

The building works at the front of the hotel/dining area facing the lake ruined the view. There was no proper lift for our buggy. Our twin room had some mould in the shower and cracks in the ceiling and on the walls- certain areas need a serious renovation. Most upsetting was our very poor room view (see photos attached) - We attended the hotel 2 years earlier and had the most beautiful lake view. While we understand not every room can have the perfect view, the view we had was unacceptable and to make things worse; on our last day builders attended the porch right outside our window as we were getting ready and so we had to close the curtains to protect our privacy. The room was also poorly ventilated and there was no air conditioning so we had to sleep with the window open which was not ideal.

Below average at best, shabby room, dining room poor ,overall not what was expected for the price.

Like the location and the comfortable bed

I paid extra to upgrade the room with balloons and rose petals. They didn't include the rose petals. It was my partner birthday and that was part of the celebrations. Although it was somthing as small as that the first impression I was really disappointed as I even confirmed it on the phone the day prior.
