Fort Magruder Historic Williamsburg, Trademark by Wyndham

Breakfast, staff pricing and location was great, the place did not appear as it it is advertised but since the price was low I kind of expected to be a little shabby which I don't mind BUT

It is a huge conference center. They have so many rooms. But I went there in the winter; there are not many customers. They provided very good free breakfast. The BBQ restaurant nearby is pretty good with good beers. But it is the only one in walking distance. I recommend this hotel.

For what we paid for our 2 night stay, the hotel was great and a great deal. The lobby area and main hotel areas are great. The actual rooms are a little dingy and the bathroom/shower room is so small it is hard to move around in, and was in need of some repair, but all in all very decent place.

Loved the indoor pool, room was clean and breakfast was great!

It listed it was a restaurant in the hotel it had been closed down since Covid. It also stated weee in a suite and wasn’t . And needs to be updated really bad

I was looking for a place for our extended family (6 total) to stay that had adjoining rooms, an indoor pool, free breakfast, allowed pets, & was less than $100 a night for multiple nights. Fort Magruder ticked all the boxes & it delivered on all points. The pool & hot tub were in good condition & worked every night we stayed. Pool towels were available, only drawback was how far our room was from the pool. We were on opposite ends of the first floor. The breakfast was good, fresh, with many options, of course slightly more options on the weekends. They allowed us to bring our dog for $25 extra a night. Which I guess for my room pushed us almost to $100 a night. As for the wing we stayed on, it was definitely dated and could use some TLC. The beds I think were listed as queen but felt more like full size. The room had everything we needed. My son liked all the big lights featured throughout the hotel. He said it made him think of “Hogwarts”. Front desk supplied us with all items we needed when asked. They lobby plays a big screen movie continuously which we enjoyed one evening when it was a family favorite showing. I explored other wings & they don’t all really match up. Some look fresh & clean others look tattered & dated. The parking lot area was noted to not have any lights working but there were large lights at both main entry doors. Walking my dog early/late, lights all on would feel safest. Overall, it was a nice stay and we didn’t encounter any problems or issues.
