I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is convenient, with easy access to transport and nearby restaurants. The room was clean, tidy, and well-equipped, and the bed was very comfortable. The overall environment was quiet and relaxing. The staff were also friendly, patient, and professional. Everything, including cleanliness, service, and value for money, was excellent. I would definitely choose to stay here again and highly recommend it to other guests.

Such a brilliant location with a 10 minute walk into the centre of York. Lovely atmosphere with staff that just get the job done well. There was a wedding on during our stay and honestly I was a little apprehensive that our service would be impacted but it was perfect! We decided to go to the steak night on Thursday and it was lush! Smallest point ever but padron peppers could do with some salt flaked on it! Other than that, very attentive service with great food/wine. We stayed in the lovely room 38 which was tucked away at the back of the hotel. We got the pleasant surprise of a bath which was lush ! And we loved the coffee machine being hidden in the house. The room was cleaned well and I loved the extra touches of the Robert’s radio being on for our arrival and the opportunity to pick vinyls for the record player too. I definitely think value for money is met, especially with the amazing breakfast in the morning. The lady that served us every morning of our stay, really puts the graft in and is a great asset to the team. A special mention to the young boy and girl that also served us on Friday morning, you are better than any negative guest, keep doing what you’re doing.

The location and the pantry was a nice touch.

Nice rooms but the rooms were not soundproof at all, I could hear the entire conversation of the next room until the early hours of the morning - one of the worst for nose I have stayed in sadly.
