"Cape Town Ritz is a very bad hote !"

Ritz is a very bad hotel! Too many maintenance issues ! I stayed here for 3 nights from Oct. 26th, 2015. I took a chance with this hotel despite bad reviews as this was ideally located. But, totally disappointed. On the first day itself I had to change rooms 3 times and then again twice the next day. There were all kinds of maintenance issues and problems. The lights, the water, the sink, shower fittings, no spare plug points, and many many other issues. The airconditioner was never working in any of the rooms and eventually they gave me a noisy table fan ! All the three nights, me and my wife could n’t sleep a bit ! It was so pathetic and a real nightmare ! This hotel is supposed to be undergoing renovation, but looked nominal and very slow ! They should not really keep this hotel open until all renovation complete. Their website looks very impressive but not in reality. They also charge ZAR150.00 for WiFi which is just outrageous and irresponsible and that too with a limit of only 500mb ! And that hangs most of the time with no connection. All their staff, especially Francois in the lobby and Matt at the restaurant, were very nice and struggling hard to cope with the many complaints of guests ! The breakfast buffet was very good. Rooftop restaurant is closed. The hotel is ideally located with striking views ! I suggest the management refund my money fully (USD 250.00) with an apology for the torture I had to endure during my stay there. Joe Panicker

"a view with mysterious beauty beyond the mist"

relaxing with a stunning view. sunset to die for and what a beautiful full of the stunning ocean when the mist lifts in the morning. refreshing.

"Ritz is the Pits!"

I arrived in Cape Town late and checked in for one night at the Ritz. Not only did we not get the twin beds we requested and paid for, the room was filthy. The added bonus was the pair of mens boxer shorts hanging in the bathroom. The shower curtain was hanging with 2 hooks. Gross is an understatement. We were only there from 10 pm until 8 am, so we stayed. But it was the absolute worst place I have ever stayed.

"best tallest efficient sea point hotel in capetown"

This hotel is now called African Skies(recent takeover)while still calling it The Ritz also...my stay was great...outstanding was the friendliness of the staff...whether it was loaning me an adapter to recharge my smart phone or preparing a fantastic breakfast even though it was a bit pricey...but my room When I needed to stay one more night was only plus the use of their contracted laundry was reasonable and I would easily go to it again.

"This hotel is all about the aera and the view."

Staff in general is good but fhe hotel is very old.My room was clean.Door lock hard to open.Need to be changed.
