"Relaxation After Namibian Safari"

This was my second trip to Cape Town and wanted to visit again to get a better feel for the city and to have some down time after my safari in Namibia The location of the hotel was perfect - My only issue is that the hotel needs to be updated - The staff were wonderful - Front desk to the housekeepers Overall it was an ok experience - The hotel just needs to be updated

"Payment confusion "

Make sure you have copies of all your payments made. On checking out I was handed an account as they could not trace the deposit. Ended up paying it and now await the promised refund.

"happy camper :)"

Our stay was pleasant. The staff was very friendly. We stayed in one of the least expensive rooms so I can understand that the comfort and luxury of the facility was not great. I think that you do get what you pay for at the end of the day. :)

"bad experience"

I was assured a double bed, given twin beds, requested to be moved, moved to a bed that makes you fall to the middle, stuffy carpets, requested room service told they are under staffed-what a bad experience

"Terrible Stay at Ritz Hotel Cape Town"

We stayed at the Ritz in Cape Town in November 2014. Although it is known for having a fabulous location and the only rotating restaurant in town, staying at the hotel was simply a terrible experience. We booked through expedia a double room. When we got to the hotel, they had booked us on a twin room. We spoke to the staff and we were moved to a a lower floor. The room had two double beds. On the first day, we realised that we had to pay for the wifi, for the breakfast and for the parking since they were not included in the price we had paid online. On the second day, we realized that one of the duvet covers had blood stains in it, possibly from the previous people that stayed at the hotel. Luckily there were two beds in the room. We informed the reception 3x for them to change the duvets during our stay but nothing was done until we left. We spoke to the general manager in the morning and he had not been informed. Although it is quite an affordable hotel, it is better to pay a little more and stay somewhere where the bedding is cleaned everyday.

"Good and comfortable stay"

To be honest while reading the reviews I had my reservations about this hotel, but frankly speaking I had a comfortable stay, I had no issues at all. Sasha and Withall at the reception were amazing and very helpful, if you're new to South Africa and need a local SIM Card, just speak to them and they can sort it for you, FREE! I was there just 3 nights, good people! The location is very convenient too. Mubin

"staff ok but will avoid this hotel in the future"

Have stayed there before but will not do so again. Has definitely gone downhill needs more than a makeover more like a new build
