Oxford Witney Hotel

Comfirtable stay. Goid leisure facilities. Excellent breakfast

Good hotel for business trip. Rooms are clean but don't look as though they have had any improvement since the hotel was built. Small gym but decent enough for a hotel gym.

Prifessional and helpful staff. Great breakfasts and good location.

Astonishingly dreadful. This is just about a 3 star hotel at best. The general decor (carpets, walls, doors) have clearly not been updated in over a decade. Our original room smelt so badly of fresh paint (yet still the walls had stains) we had to move. The toilet didn't flush properly, there was no way to alter the temperature of the room, which was permanently hot. The shower lacked any pressure. At least the 1980s Corby trouser press worked! The bar staff were beyond useless, I had to point out that Stella Cidre was not a beer 5 times. Breakfast was nothing special, and what you would expect at a 3 star buffet. To be fair to the reception staff they did apologise and agreed the hotel needed upgrading. I was offered a discount on a future stay, but I will not be returning.

On our arrival we were given a room that had not been cleaned from previous people. We stayed for the spa resources but the pool was not working. On eating diner - the steak I had was the worst ever!

The hotel was well located, about a 20 minute drive from the Park and Ride that takes you into Oxford city centre. The hotel was clean and tidy, the communal areas look a little dated but hardly the end of the world. The room was modern and a very good size with a nice, clean bathroom. Loved having air conditioning in the room. Breakfast was nice with a good choice of food and drink. Would stay here again if we were visiting Oxford.

Food out of its world top marks to the shef .bed not so great you sit up agenst headbord and the bed rolls away .mostly clean but very cobwebby swimming pool was good

Reception staff friendly and welcoming. Gave us an upgrade to a superior room free of charge. The lobby/restaurant/bar areas are lovely. We chose to eat in the bar area. Main meals came without cutlery or condiments. Took 10 minutes for them to bring by which time the food wasnt the hottest. The sides (onion rings) did not come with the meal. They arrived after we had finished. Staff very apologetic. Note £3.50 gets you 4 onion rings. The room was the main driver of this poor rating. Way below expectations. This was the superior room offering. Dated decor, dark and tired with mould around window and in the bathroom. Extractor fan didnt work in the bathroom. In room safe broken. Layout awkward. TV attached to the side wall so viewing from the bed not desirable. Communal areas great, facilities good, food service poor, rooms below standard. Fine for a night, any longer i would checkout and move elsewhere.
