Azambezi River Lodge

Loved the garden surrounds and our room was beautiful and light filled. Staff were most friendly and welcoming. A relaxing place to stay.

We had a magical 3 night stay at A’Zambezi. Not only were the ground absolutely beautiful but the staff were incredible. Memory from the restaurant was outstanding, she knew our names from day one, and had our “special table” ready for us each night. Joseph at the bar was very helpful and made the best margaritas, and our stay wouldn’t have been complete without Victors guidance and assistance in booking all of our tours and transport. We were extremely lucky on our 1st night to have an elephant and two hippos come and graze on the lawn in front of our balcony! This lodge is a must do for any traveller wanting the full experience. We enjoyed staying within the national park. Seeing animals right outside our hotel room - hippos, mongoose family, warthogs and monkeys. Quiet, safe and staff very friendly. Vacation of a lifetime! Close to Victoria Falls as well as the downtown of Victoria Falls. Close to the Cheetah and Elephant Experience (which is fantastic). The A'Zambezi lodge property includes a lovely pool area and restaurant area with scrumptious meals. There is a gift shop and spa services too. Plan ahead. Contact the staff through WhatsApp for answers to your questions. It is wise to make reservations and make payment via credit card for all your activities ahead of time. We used Mavigo . They were excellent. Owner is terrific. Prompt service. Quick to provide a receipt and email follow-up of all our activities.

- Friendly staff - Beautiful grounds with warthogs on the lawn, hippos on the grounds at night - Good location for watching the sunrise over the Zambezi River - Good wi-fi - Good breakfast, excellent omelettes

- Very expensive ($300/night), which was twice as much as a similar property would cost in South Africa or Namibia - Location is far from town (about 2.5 miles), so nothing within walking distance, a real problem if you don't have a car - "Garden View" rooms were in a second-rate location, with a view of a narrow lawn and other rooms

What a fantastic place to stay on the Zambezi river. Resident warthogs, hippos & baboons makes it special. So do the awesome staff like Babra & Americano who looked after us for six days. Pool is always ready for a dip & the food from breakfast to dinner was so good. Thank you A’Zambezi River Lodge for making our stay at Victoria Falls so memorable.

Good central location and excellent staff, where even elephant and hippo come into the grounds at dusk for unexpected diners exitement

Loved the wildlife that ventures into the hotel grounds; warthogs and hippos.

Food was poor and the room very small, particularly the bathroom.

Good environment and good people. Location is quiet, everything clean and spectacular service. More then expected!
