Love the location. Easy in and out parking. Shopping so close. Love staying here every time we visit Houghton.

Centrally located in downtown Houghton. Lots of steps. Older facility in decent repair. Parking was an issue first night having to park in the city "overflow" & walk to the hotel. Room was clean. Had a great view of the canal and lift bridge (room 501). Across the street from the Ambassador Restaurant! Amy & staff were great!

Pool was cold, but hot tub was amazing. Kids didn’t mind the pool temp with the warm hot tub. Breakfast attendant was wonderful and variety of options was great. Queen bed was worn and hubby and I rolled together. Area was amazing. Would have loved it if not for the bed.

Great hotel stay!!! Will stay there again.

Perfect location, friendly staff

Great location right downtown, our room had an amazing view of the pool. The hotel is quirky, but clean and the beds were comfy. Parking is a bit of a nightmare especially when they are booked, but we made it work. Will definitely stay here again!

Breakfast was good and always stocked well. The room was comfortable.

Didn't check our trash the whole time we were there. Would have been nice to have a pick up.

The hotel is actually a motel that they enclosed the hallways and made an attempt to update it. The upgrades are hit and miss. The roof leaked into our room (and other places), and yes, the staff knew about it. The windows look into a sad, enclosed hallway that all of the AC units blow into (very hot). The location is great, but the property needs a lot of work; maybe start over! This is all about supply and demand - very limited supply and they demand a high price for what in most towns would be shut down because of poor conditions (not sure what building codes are enforced here - very questionable in my opinion). I would never stay there if other options were available.
