5 ppl in a room was ace

Air-conditioning didnt work and kept turning to heating. Woke with a real sore throat from it running all night with no way to stop it Plugs didnt work very well either

Location and evening bar - nice atmosphere

Sofa bed was dirty and stained. Wardrobe doors broken and no second bed sheets / quilt for the sofa bed ☹️

The location was excellent for our needs

For the cost per night i have stayed in better b&d,the room looked very tired, air-conditioning hardly worked even after maintenance came , broken curtains that allow sunlight in as soon as it rose, sharpe broken tiles on the bathroom floor

staff one the whole were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean.

I booked to have what I thought might be a romantic meal in the Pendigo restaurant only to find that I was put in the wrong part, i.e. the bar area as they don't open the downstairs Pendigo restaurant if there are not enough people in the hotel.SO I shared my meal with the TV in the background. It was only by luck that there was a table free despite me booking one for the restaurant by phone the night before.The receptionist actually phoned me back to confirm the booking! I only found out that the Pendigo restaurant was downstairs when going to breakfast the next day which was downstairs in the Pendigo restaurant! It was also a longer walk to the NEC than expected and we had to avoid the large amount of goose/duck poo on the grassy areas. We had to hunt in the room for another pillow each as only one each was on the bed and only one set of towels out - the other set was in a plastic bag in the chest of drawers!

Very helpful, friendly staff. Breakfast eggs perfectly cooked

Too much furniture in room and not enough hangers(3 hangers for 2 women for 2 nights) we didn't bother unpacking. Also a separate menu for us as we'd booked DBB, rather than an allowance against the ordinary menu.
