Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Kannapolis/Concord

The guy at the front desk was rude and uninterested. We got to the room and the key unlocked the door, but the door wouldn't open. While my husband went back to the front desk, two more people on the floor had to kick or shove their doors open. It took us 4 tries to get in the room. Maybe we should have stayed in the hall, because the room was awful. The "mobility accessible" room barely allowed my wheelchair to pass. When I entered the bathroom in my wheelchair, there was no room to close the bathroom door, it was that small. The sink didn't drain. The bathtub was dirty. The walls were dirty. There was a weird odor in the halls and the room. People were fighting and screaming in the hallway, hitting the walls and our door. The hotel staff called the police, it was that bad. There was another screaming match at 3 AM, and another call to the police. They are probably on speed dial. The ice machines weren't on each floor, you had to go back to the lobby. There was supposed to be a hair dryer in the room, but there wasn't. There wasn't even an alarm clock. The entire experience was just awful.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I am appauled that Wyndham promotes this establishment as the conditions are deplorable... bugs, unsanitary environment, drug users & panhandlers!!! Do not believe the pictures nor reviews the health department needs to come in & sut down!!! I was over 500 miles away from home & being ghst it was the holiday weekend, I was unable to find other lodging - I am traumatized 😢 I reserved 4 rooms for my family's visit and I am sadden that I subjected anyone to these conditions 😡

We were scared to walk in the room, stains/stuff everywhere. There were hand and feet prints floor to ceiling. The TV was filthy, the remote didn't work. There was tissue paper wadded up in the peephole behind the door which was very uncomfortable. There was unidentifiable red fluid on the mirror at the top and stains on the top of the sheets and bedspread. The bathtub had smudges and gunk on it and the window was so gross you almost couldn't see out of it, it looked frosted.

The room was (is) really old and dirty. The microwave is rusty and dirty inside. Water leak stains. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The hotel smelled like cigarette smoke and had a very old smell.

There were burns and stains on the linens, the toilets, the bathtubs, and the floor. The hallways smelled like burnt feces, and the staircases had questionable paraphernalia in the corners. As we were about to exit our room to check out, we found a shoebox with concerning items in it that housekeeping clearly either ignored or missed, causing us to be concerned with what else was not done. We did not feel safe with who was hanging around the parking lots at night, and was even approached by a man talking about sex trafficking then found him hanging around our hallway later that evening (his room was on a different floor, other guests confirmed he had no business up there). The amount of trash behind the building was disgusting and showed what kind of care was being given. Overall, NOT worth the price.

The back of the place was a dumpster (my room was facing that side) the girl at the front desk was rude when I tried to check in and when it was time to check out no one came to the desk, they had a phone number on a piece of paper taped to the window so I called and I was told it was ok to leave, so I wasn't even sure I was properly checked out.

Business and pleasure, I will never spend another dollar in this crappy hotel, the bed was sunken in the middle so if I tried to rollover in my sleep it’s like rolling up hill just horrible, that bed had more miles on it than my car

This was my worst experience ever at a Wyndham hotel. The Front desk clerk was Rude & IGNORANT. The tables in the room where sticky. The toilet had stains and the carpet was dirty.There was only one set of towels in the Bathroom. This particular Wyndham should be closed. If it not closed there needs to be a Shut down to do a Massive cleaning and Definitely some Customer Service Training for the front desk staff. I'm a Wyndham rewards member and they would not Honor the members late check out Policy. I would not Recommend this Particular Wyndham hotel to a Dog. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE GHETTO GHETTO GHETTO

Dirty, Dirty, Dirty. Had to sweep and clean our own room. Stained furniture in room, staff not helpful at all. Hallways and elevators very dirty, no body cleans at this hotel. You have been warned DO NOT stay this hotel

The check in was terrible man was not friendly at all was mad that he gave me a dirty room to begin with then turn around an gave me another dirty room that I had to them clean myself because who wants to go through all of that while out of town trying to get a new room and deal with refund’s I have pictures and videos dirty bathroom towels rags and pillows an sheets
