Perfect location in the heart of Buxton wit a short walk through the gardens into town

The room was too small with an awkward corner bathroom and narrow gap between that and the bed. The Car Park was completely full due to a wedding and we had to find a small space next to a skip.

Not bad, very Grand hotel a little outdated but for the money you cannot complain

The rooms were big and spacious. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the shower was powerful. The young man on reception was welcoming polite, helpful and very professional.

The location is excellent. The hotel itself is memorable because you can step back in time and imagine its former grandeur. There is a Starbucks concession at the bar/restaurant. The breakfast was good apart from tinned fruit - as opposed to fresh. The staff were very helpful in the restaurant.

Reception could do with more staff on at peak times as the queue was quite long. The hotel decor is tired. The furniture in the room is very basic with uncomfortable chairs. The bathroom was tiny but clean.
