The convenience and the grand décor

The shower was not functioning correctly and filling the bath. One towel was damp.

Lovely historic interior in communal areas - looked impressive.

Rooms very basic and worn. Chipped furniture, poor paint coverings, average bed furniture, old and tired decor, badly in need of updating. A very disrespectful member of female staff serving in the small bar. Absolutely no interpersonal skills and came across as very rude. You don't pay money to be treated like this.

Did not mention the room did not have any windows. House keeping was below standard

The location is good.

The bed and pillows were made of rocks. After two nights I needed a break. I felt like I had been beaten up. The breakfast is rather poor.

Nothing

Every floorboard creaked in my room. Noise from surrounding rooms that were general noises, not guest noises. The whole feel of the place was very tired. £22 for a burger in the bar area. (I didn’t get one). Revolving doors didn’t allow for large cases to get in. Check in was very slow. £5 for parking would be fine if there were adequate spaces. I couldn’t get a space first time so drove off and came back to see a car pulling out. Very poor value for money on the whole. I’ve stayed in better places for half the price. Location is ‘prime’ but comes with a lot of external noise.

Directly outside the room was next to a big fan/air con/extractor fan unit thing which kept turning on and off all night

Nice central location.

Car park seems small for the number of rooms
