Fantastic gardens and beautiful historic building

Staff very helpful in arranging taxis and lounge excellent with old world comfort and charm. The swimming pool and facilities were very good.

Biscuits and tea in room were inadequate and sandwiches eaten at lunch time were over priced and mediocre in quality.

Huge period house with some very interesting history to it . Beautiful original lounge and downstairs area. Staff were lovely food was great both for dinner and breakfast . Bedroom opened onto a garden and was lovely

Bathroom was clean and had everything you would need but is a bit dated and tired looking . Really not a fan of bath shower combinations would much prefer a walk in shower and save the bath for those very big bathrooms

The resort is nice has a large garden and beautiful river view and many “secret” places to explore

The management did not properly take care of my recovering wife. She had a surgery recently and needs a cool room to avoid agitating the wound. Unfortunately they kicked us out of our room which we booked for 6 nights on the 5th night and they forced us to move to a room which has weak cooling. It was incredibly hot and my wife was very unhappy and they did nothing to help beside usual excuses. They even sent us a fan which did was broken.

Beautiful property, lovely architecture. Staff were very accommodating and returned an item of property I left behind.

It’s an old property so things like plug points are a little lacking but probably to be expected.

Whilst I couldn't award this venue my special five star grading it was better than good. Lunch was delicious in every way, the service was friendly and relaxed, the venue was beautiful. After lunch we walked around the grounds in the sunshine and admired the views over the Thames. Made you feel grateful to be able to experience England at its best. Many couples were viewing the venue for weddings, it would be a lovely place for a wedding reception.

Reception staff were great Bar staff not so - the young supervisor was pretentious talking about her cocktails and really patronising. She was just on her laptop Needs to be taken down a peg or two The day before that We had the really green cocktail - it took ages and it didnt taste nice.we didn’t drink it but still paid for it and no one asked ? That young girl said the menu was new and didn’t know any drinks or where anything was but you are charging premium prices ??
