It’s 3*. Food is awful. Rooms are rubbish. Our loo didn’t have hand washing facilities and I didn’t have a bedside table!!! Staff are lovely and clearly hate the management. They do the best they can and everyone we met was lovely

Great location between town and marina which is one of the few positives we could find other than the friendly staff. Overall we were disappointed by the hotel for many reasons and don’t reckon it’s five star by any stretch of the imagination. We had booked a preferred sea view room but in reality this overlooked the pool with the sea in the distance. Upgraded to a suite with a sea view which was nice but a wee bit overpriced. Both rooms were a bit dated but clean. Strange set up with separate toilet without handbasin! It would appear that about 50% of guests were on preferred packages so not exclusive in any way as much of the publicity suggests. Breakfasts were not particularly good with the supposedly hot food lukewarm at best and sometimes just plain cold. The food in the preferred club snack bar was repetitive and unimaginative. Our biggest problem was however the smell of sewage. On several evenings we were driven indoors from our balcony by the stench. We were on the side of the hotel away from the notorious promenade smell so that wasn’t the cause. On occasions the smell was also evident in our room and corridor leading to reception We didn’t eat in the hotel in the evenings as we had booked b&b basis , but when we returned during the entertainment we found this not to be very good. Because the entertainment was in the main atrium there wasn’t anywhere to have a quiet nightcap and in any event the service was slow in the bar. A hotel of this size should have another option should you not wish to listen to entertainment. We are unlikely to return

Fabulous hotel in a stunning location. Just what the doctor ordered!!! Would recommend to any one looking for a relaxing chilled week in the sun

From the moment you arrive at Dreams you are greeted with warmth and smiles. From the moment we checked in till the day we left we were impressed with the entire team and how looked after us. The food, entertainment and standard of accommodation was excellent. There was a proper professional act each night, not just the hotel staff doing a show. We will certainly return, this is our second stay here and both times it has been outstanding

Great hotel in a great location. Its very central and very close to the beach and many other bars and reataurants.Overall a lovely holiday here.

Having stayed at the ‘Secrets’ hotel earlier in the year and Dreams being of the same chain/Brand and star rating my review maybe somewhat based on comparison as to what we were expecting. Booked direct with Hyatt All Inclusive, 2 adults 1 Child All Inclusive Family Room, 15th to 29th Dec Arrived to the hotel at 11.30am, greeted well at reception, cases taken and was able to use hotel facilities. Was aware before hand that check in is 3pm and unfortunately our room wasn’t ready until 3pm (tip - take a charge of clothes/footwear in hand luggage to change into if travelling in British winter clothing!) Family Room - king bed & 2 single beds, plenty of room. Overlooked car park / entrance but expected this as didn’t upgrade to pool view. Good amenities provided in rooms. Table and chairs on the balcony. Tip - Choose a top floor room if you can, the sound from rooms above & hallway echo in. World Cafe - Buffet style breakfast / lunch / dinner. Breakfast - find / seat yourself. Only on 2 out of the 14 days it took a couple of walk arounds a to find a table, plenty had not yet been cleared and was told we couldn’t sit at the few that were in the progress of been cleared. Lunch & Dinner we were seated and a waiter would come over to take drinks order. Staff service - there was a clear divide between the experienced & professionalism of the older staff compared to the younger, maybe newer staff and feel further training needs to be input into bringing newer staff upto the standards which the hotel is offering. This is in both the World Cafe and Portofino. Portofino - Ate here twice during our stay and had 2 completely difference experiences. 1st being not so great, inexperienced staff, orders wrong and no offer of dessert and the 2nd visit been excellent from start to finish. Baracuda / Pool bar - excellent staff and service throughout our stay. Pools - Excellent but if they are heated they need turning up a couple of degrees. No inflatables/balls allowed in the main pool but are in the Merlin Pool Activities - Took part in water polo, darts, archery. Good opportunity to mix / speak with others. Entertainment- Starlight is the band that sticks out and very rememberable- excellent group. Casino night is good too. Plenty of sun loungers and never had an issue finding some in a good spot Location is super. As mentioned earlier, maybe I’m comparing Dreams to Secrets too much, but I was expecting a very similar experience, therefor it was somewhat of a let down particularly the food & standard.

We had a lovely time at dreams, we came in j2 and picked a sea view which turned out o be one of the best rooms in the hotel which never happens to us. With this came an upgrade to preferred Club which I new nothing about but it gives you access to a lounge for snacks for free and all the mini bar in room free as well. If I had a minor jiggle the entertainment was just to late for us 9.30 ! And you have an app to sign on to find out what's on. Which we couldn't be bothered with. This could all be put on in your room on the tv would be useful I would.suggest. Anyway, fantastic staff lovely rooms good food. Great position. I would definitely return.

Our 9 month old babies 1st holiday. Firstly staff are AMAZING, so hard working and friendly, couldn't ask for more. We stayed at the sister hotel on the island, adults only Secrets hotel, the year before and in comparison this hotel is needing a bit of a face lift, preferred club pool paint peeling (as per pic) and generally a bit tired. Food and drink wonderful however the only child's option was chicken nuggets and chips on the preferred club a la cart lunch menu (which we diddnt want to give to our weaning baby everyday) so we had to eat in the buffet a lot for lunch which kind of defeated the point of preferred club (I did ask if we could bring food from the buffet into PC dining room but was told this wasn't allowed) When we were at the preferred club pool we diddnt get any "table service" on our sunloungers which we did a lot at the sister hotel the year before (not a big deal but just something we noticed) Great kids pool and soft play, entertainment nightly which was great. Stand out foods was the tuna at Sabor and the Baraquitos from the cafe. Lovely to walk along the sea front between marinas. We really enjoyed our trip but if youre booking as adult only I'd recommend staying at Secrets instead and if you're booking with young children I think I would just reccoment to go all inclusive and not pay extra for preferred club

Preferred Club bed and breakfast holiday. Room superb with beautiful view. Breakfasts excellent with great variety and easy outside seating. Very friendly and helpful staff throughout the hotel. Really spacious pool areas - easy to find free sun loungers. Gym excellent with up to date and easy to use equipment. Easy walking distance to huge variety of evening restaurants.

Ideal location, straight onto the front, left to go to the marina, right to go to Playa Blanca. Public areas lovely, but an odd lounge with chairs facing a big screen showing views of the island, never seen that in a hotel before. As we booked late we had to book a preferred club room, which gave us access to the club lounge for free drinks and food. There was a pool for the preferred members, but gates were always open, so didn’t need a card to access it. Rooms were basic, missing drawer space, but did have a big wardrobe with shelves and safe. Toilet is separate from the main bathroom, it lacks any warmth in the decor. Nice walk in shower, big sink with plenty of storage on top and underneath. Towels on arrival were thick and fluffy, but on changing them, the quality went down. The bed is on casters, so make sure they are locked. Ours wasn’t which meant it moved when sat on it. Big balcony, with table and two chairs, the bedrooms are not quiet, you can hear people walking around, flushing the toilet or moving chairs. Never had this before in any hotel, so it could do with some sound proofing. There is a space for luggage under the mini bar and tea/coffee machine. The mini bar was filled daily, even if we weren’t in. There is a bed turn down service, think we had it twice, as if we were in we declined the service. Breakfast was varied and freshly cooked if you wanted eggs,etc. The cereals are near the food station for eggs, so if there is a queue for this, then you cannot get to the cereals. There is no high fibre cereals, so take your own if you need them. The only downside is being escorted to a table once you give your room number in. This is fine, until there is a long queue forming and you have to wait for the girl to come back before you can get into breakfast. A couple of times we were just waved through to find our own table, because there was such a long queue. When you are shown to a table they will put you all in one area, so you are sat very close together. They say this is to give the guest a unique personal experience, no it isn’t as breakfast is a buffet where you help yourself, not get table service. Tea and coffee are brought to your table, which is nice. There is only one toaster, so it can be a wait if it is busy. We were bed and breakfast, so didn’t use the restaurants for lunch or dinner, so cannot comment on the food. Check in and check out was quick and easy. Staff friendly and helpful. We had a problem with our air con dripping water and this was solved quickly after telling them. This isn’t a five star hotel, but it’s clean, with various options of bed/breakfast, half board, all inclusive. Plenty of pools to choose from. Just be aware the bedrooms can be noisy as there doesn’t seem to any sound proofing between the floors or walls. The rooms looking over to the marina could get the smell of sewage.
