Dreams Lanzarote Playa Dorada Resort & Spa

Another fantastic month spent here, the card in our room when we arrived said 'Welcome Home'. We cannot fault any of the staff here, they are all amazing. However special thanks must go to Marta, on reception who organised a superb room for us. Ainara, Daniella and Sandra in guest services who are truly amazing people, they made sure everything was perfect throughout the whole of our stay. Finally, on the staff side, there is Ana in the Preferred Club breakfast restaurant whose smile, professionalism and cheerfulness is a credit to the Hotel. She and Marta work tirelessly to give guests the best morning experience possible ! We were in an ocean view room which was superb. Cleaned meticulously every day, our maid even helped me with my Spanish. The minibar was re-stocked every day with water, beer and juice by the friendliest chap who remembered us from last year and knew not to give us fizzy water, just plain, thank you. We tried all of the speciality restaurants and favoured Sabor and the Blue Water Grill. Both had really good menus with a great range of dishes that the Chef's should be proud of. In particular I had the Gratinated Scallop which was incredible, as was the salmon roll with vegetables. Unfortunately we didn't use any of the pools this year because the weather was awful. Can't really blame the Hotel for that, we have used them in the past and our favourite was the rear one with the water slides, it's much quieter there. Overall another superb Holiday. We've been coming to this Hotel for decades and it's always a pleasure.

Love this hotel. Second visit. Stayed preferred club which provides gorgeous sea view rooms. Hotel standard of cleanliness exceeds expectation even for 5 star. We did not eat at the hotel but enjoyed the pool, room and bar. Would definitely return

A very enjoyable few days in a lovely hotel, great location and amazing and helpful staff as usual at a Dreams establishment.

This is a fantastic find of a hotel. On the beachfront with accessible walks straight from your room, a friendly atmosphere and attentive staff, you couldn’t wish for a better hotel stay. We loved it here and will hopefully be back.

First of all there were some great things and some poor things in our experience. The good things; The room 2038 was great. It was beside a child free pool, and was serviced well and clean. The main self service restaurant was poor. I have been in better canteens in Dublin. I was noisy and the main meals were were of a poor standard. The hotel talk about having several restaurants but only one is open any night. We had to queue every night at the restaurants, and on one night it was over 30 minutes. I would be another 20 minutes before anyone came to take a food order on average. Serving food on cold plates for dinner is unacceptable. The staff tried to be helpful but seemed to have no power to change anything. As a balance they get the breakfast wonderfully well.

Super clean resort, à la carte menus were fantastic. The staff were welcoming. The only slight let down were the salty buffet food and the omelette not being cooked long enough.

2nd time visiting. Very good overall, cleaning 100% but as a preferred guest- mini bar refill was a disaster. Only done once per day and if you are not there it never happens even if you ask in reception Needs to be better to justify a 5 star property

Great location right on the beach of playa dorada , 5 minute walk to marina and 5 minute walk to bars and restaurants of playa blanca. Nice atmosphere at the hotel, for an older clientele. Rooms are nice and clean depending on the location in the building but feel they are not up to a standard of a 5 star hotel more like a 3 star. We dined at the preferred club Portifino restaurant for breakfast most mornings and felt it could have been better, you are under the impression you can sit down and order your freshly cooked breakfast but in matter of fact, you have to queue with your plate for fresh eggs... 2 mornings I waited 15 minutes for 2 poached eggs and an omlette. It was extermely busy every morning. This is a lovely hitel with a fabulous location but felt for the price that you pay and having 5 stars, you would expect to experience something special and unfortunatley it lacked that.

Gorgeous hotel, with really friendly staff. The hotel, restaurant, bars and pool area where spotless. We loved the preferred lounge and sea legs swim up pool. We would definitely stay here again. The only small issue I had was that I had booked a sea view room and it was more like a pool view room (room 1231) Seemed a waste of money. Other than that it was fabulous.

buffet food all cold and not much selection, wifi was terrible cost us a fortune in extra data, evening entertainment was on the stairs with not enough tables and chairs, indoor pool closed, sunloungers old and dated, hotel is mostly dated. This is a low 4 star at very most it should not be 5 star hotel. bottles lager / absolute vodka etc charged extra not included on all in! was not worth price we paid ended up eating out for lunch and dinner 10 of the 12 days.
