The Equinox Golf Resort & Spa

A grand old hotel but a little frayed at the edges. Air conditioning not working, safe broken. But still enjoyable.

My husband and I recently spent two nights at the Equinox Golf Resort. Our room was good, much like any other hotel, but the air conditioning was very noisy and the safe did not work. We reported both to the front desk, but either issue was corrected. The indoor pool was lovely, breakfast was very good and the grounds were very nice. We also scheduled a round of golf at their course. Because we had a gift card, we were told not to pay for the round in advance on their website but instead charge the round to our room. Unfortunately, that evening when we checked on our bill we found we were charged $40 more per person than the rate shown on their website. After bringing this up to the front desk, they told us to contact the golf shop. The golf shop did not give us a satisfactory answer as to why this discrepancy occurred. We were also surprised that given that we were staying at the resort, no special rate was provided. Just beware of this prior to booking a round of golf. Other than that, the course was in good condition and we enjoyed playing there.

Lovely, historical resort. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, clean, spacious room. The spa is great. We had a wonderful visit to Manchester, and highly recommend the Equinox!

Pet friendly hotel, even my dog enjoed her visit. Location was great and we had a blast at the wedding the Hotel hosted. The rain kept the wedding inside. That is Vermont spring for you. The surrounding was beautiful and the town was quiet and low key. Hope to come back for visits in the future.

The windows in our room were dangerously in very poor condition. Peeling paint all over them all. Curtains riddled with holes and broken. Suggested that they not rent the room until repaired

This hotel has so much potential but it is in need of refurbishment. The rooms were clean but dated and the spa is nice, especially the 25 yard lap pool. Our room didn’t have a luggage rack. The staff is very friendly.

From the greeting by Randy at the front of the hotel to the check in to our huge room and great pool everything was lovely!

Lovely building and location, truly picturesque. , the interior is dated. The rooms are basic. No coffee maker or robes in rooms. A soft, saggy mattress--you will need the massage at the Spa, which very basic and needs cleaning and maintenance. The restaurant staff were generally rude and the service slow. Drive by, take a photo and go elsewhere.

Where the Republic stayed before the Republic makes sense as a definition of this venue’s approach. Close to shopping and a cool New England town.
