Absolutely Amazing! My Juliet in Kilkenny is elegant, charming, and unforgettable. The staff were beyond wonderful—warm, attentive, and welcoming. The hotel itself is stunning, and the food was fabulous from start to finish. A true gem in Kilkenny—I can’t wait to return!

Stayed here in July on a weekend golf trip with a few friends. To start, the hotel itself is beautifully restored with lots of charm and history. The staff were great. Looked after our golf bags between rounds and had everything ready to go for us. Food in the restaurant was impeccable and our servers we so efficient and nice. Golf course was our highlight. Great practice area with top end golf caddies and an Immaculate course which is challenging but fair. Also a nice surprise on the 10th tee box with a little cafe to stock up on snacks or a small meal. Overall we we're delighted with our stay and are strongly considering going back again in summer 2026. Definitely recommend this place.

Would recommend people to spend their money elsewhere. Stayed here in Feb 2025 and the experience has stayed with me that I needed to write this review and warn others. On arrival we were too early for check in, we decided to walk the gardens, this was recommended to us by others. Yes it was February but some paths were that unkept that we could not pass. We went to the Saddle Bar to order drinks, staff were lovely and helpful but there was definitely a musty, damp smell in the bar. Before arrival we were asked were we celebrating any special occasion, this was a baby moon and I was 38 weeks pregnant, the room we were put could not have been further from reception or the lifts which was disappointing. I don't know why we were asked if we were celebrating anything if it was not acknowledged. We used the leisure facilities, lovely and clean. Staff friendly and helpful, swim caps were provided. However, jets in the pool were not working. Jacuzzi was also cold. That night when trying to cast to the TV we couldn't work it. We contacted reception who sent up a staff member who had less of a clue than we did. We brought this up at checkout to which we were informed internet was down due to a storm, this could have been said at check in. At breakfast the following morning we ordered our food, I can't recall what I ordered exactly but eggs needed to be fully cooked as I was pregnant. The two tables beside us arrived after us but got their food before us. We had to reorder and wait. When we got our food then eggs were not fully cooked. None of these issues were massive but all combined they left a very negative impression. The cost we paid was not reflected at all. We could have, and have, stayed in three or four star hotels with much better facilities and service. Maybe the golf course makes this a five star venue but definitely not for those who aren't golfing. Five star is meant to be the highest rating, this is not. Spend your money elsewhere.

Excellent staff, service and grounds.

The bathroom wasn’t very clean and the towels were overused and old. There was some mold in the shower.
