"Lovely stay at Tarragona"

10.0

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. From the moment we checked in, we were greeted so kindly and received recommendations for countless activities and restaurants to enjoy the city. The welcome drink is a lovely gesture when you arrive after long hours of travel. The breakfast is delicious, you can even have it on the terrace and enjoy the sun. The most impressive feature is the sixth-floor rooftop with 360- degree views of the city. The staff is attentive, friendly and very professional, always with a smile and willing to help. We will definitely be back; I don’t think any other hotel in Tarragona can compare to this one. Thank you to everyone.

"Highly recommended!"

10.0

First time back to Tarrangona for over 20 years…it’s even better than I remember and this was definitely helped by this hotel. It’s really perfect! Great location with a sea view and the amphitheatre. Room was very spacious and tastefully decorated, and all the toiletries you need for a week’s stay. Air conditioning works and is quiet! Additional ceiling fan, which was very welcome same days. Helpful and friendly staff. Gym with everything you need for a short stay and lovely views out to the sea

"Cockroach in the shower – Hotel refused refund and called my complaint a “threat”"

2.0

I had an extremely disturbing experience at this hotel during my stay in July 2025. While taking a shower, I discovered a large cockroach hiding behind my shampoo bottle – it almost crawled on me. I was in shock, and the incident completely ruined my night. I immediately reported this to the hotel. While they sent a staff member to remove the cockroach and offered a room change the next day, I requested a refund for two nights due to the emotional distress and hygiene failure. To my surprise, the hotel refused my refund request, and even worse, claimed that my complaint was a “threat”. They said they were “not afraid of such threats” because they had valid pest control documentation. I was not threatening anyone – I was simply demanding fair treatment and expressing how unsafe and traumatized I felt. This response was arrogant, dismissive, and unprofessional. This was not my first stay at this hotel – I had trusted it in the past. But after this shocking event and their cold, defensive reaction, I can no longer recommend it. Cleanliness is not optional. Respect for guests is not negotiable. Avoid this place if you care about hygiene, safety, and basic respect.

"Superb Hotel"

10.0

This hotel is top class - very clean / very well kept / we booked a suite with full sea view and balcony and it totally lived up to our expectations ! The place is impeccable! Great location on the sea and at the bottom of the old town. Check in was very welcoming. Staff are very friendly. The breakfast is excellent. Only negative the tables for breakfast can be awkward / one staff member wanted to have her way and boss where we sat / The towels at the pool are the usual drama / why can’t the hotel just allocate towels? Will definitely be back soon/ Tks for a great stay 🙏🌼🌼

"Great views"

8.0

Lovely hotel we had a junior mare suite really roomy aircon really good. Lot's of room fantastic view. Only negative is the roof top bar and pool often closed to guests, whilst we were there closed from 4pm one day during our stay due to a wedding reception and another 2 nights due to firework displays being viewed from the roof top bar for those lucky enough to have a meal booked up there. Old town 5 minutes away really worth a visit lots of bars and restaurants. Went to Salou on the bus and Cambrills on the train. The bus station and train station are close by and walkable. Hotel reception staff always pleasant as were the cleaners. Breakfast was really good fantastic choice of hot and cold food.

"Towel wars by the pool"

4.0

Stayed here for 4 nights in a sea front room with a balcony. The room was really spacious with a great view from the balcony. We were even able to view the fire works which was fantastic. The issue is the pool. Not only is it far too small for this size of hotel (not their fault) but as well as towel wars, people leaving their beds for hours with their belongings on them, there are not enough umbrellas. There are literally just 6 umbrellas for the whole area, which when it is 32 degrees is utterly inadequate. So had the amusing site of one of our fellow Brits arguing with a Spanish girl who had the temerity to move her and her partner’s umbrella whilst they were away. I had been there an hour and a half by then and they were not there when I arrived. The staff should move belongings if people are not back within the hour.

"This hotel perfectly showcases a charming costal city!"

10.0

We wanted to introduce our son to city breaks & what a way to do it. So glad we chose Tarragona & this beautiful hotel. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff were attentive & friendly. Upon entering our room (Junior Suite Mare Top View) we were blown away! Spacious, clean & decorated to a high standard. What an incredible view across the sea too! Absolutely stunning. We’ve been fortunate enough to stay in some beautiful hotels in other parts of Spain & this was up there with the best of them. Breakfast is laid on to a very high standard, lots of choice…endorsed by our 12 year old! We also ate from other menus within the hotel & all the food we had was was delicious & cooked to a high standard. The rooftop bar boasts stunning views & it’s a lovely location for a wee drink or two! The pool on the ground floor offers a lovely chilled area to relax & sunbathe. The downstairs bar and lobby is beautifully air conditioned which helps in the hot weather! Our room was huge and very well equipped. The cleaning standards are high and the maids do an excellent job to turn your room over each day. Can’t fault the effort that goes in. Beds are comfortable & air con in room is great! We received an email from the hotel a few days before we arrived about a fireworks competition & we feared the worst but this really was a treat! It was a short burst of entertainment that we felt very privileged to experience thanks to the amazing location of our hotel room (front row seat) - what a show! The view of the sea & the amphitheatre just encapsulates this beautiful city! A visit to the amphitheatre is recommended to take in some local history. Lots of lovely restaurants nearby too - highly recommend! Our son loved the beach which was extremely clean & well maintained but it’s a bit of a walk downhill on the way then a hard walk uphill on the way back. (You can grab a taxi for circa 7 euro) There are good public transport connections to Salou & Barcelona for day trips which we took advantage of. Tarragona & the H10 have truly spoiled us…absolutamente inmenso! We’re so appreciative to have visited such a lovely part of the world! Tarragona we’re missing you already

"Great Views!"

8.0

It’s a nice hotel with a great location and views. Staff was super friendly and helpful, especially the cleaning ladies. However, I don’t think it was worth the price I paid. I reserved the top view mare room ($250+ USD per night @ 4 nights). The room had a great view and was cute. Unfortunately, it was also uncomfortable and quite small. There was only a desk chair in which to sit, unless I chose to sit outside. The towels were mismatched and rough to the touch (pool towels were much better quality), the bed moved if I moved, the floor felt dirty (and no slippers were provided), there were scuffs all over the walls, the bathroom trash can was dented, and the light in the closet only turned on when the doors were shut. Two days before my stay I had emailed the receptionist to ask about functions at or near the hotel (noise concerns) and if both pools would be open. I was told there were no functions and the pools would be open. When I arrived I found out that there was a wedding reception at the rooftop pool, so it was closed, and there was some sort of show in front of the hotel. Needless to say my sleep on Saturday night was atrocious. Had I been told the truth about Saturday’s events, I would have arrived Sunday instead. The gym was great. However, it really needs to be cleaned. Thankfully towels were provided. Both pools were wonderful, especially given the heatwave.
