The Westin Resort & Spa, Puerto Vallarta

Staff at the Westin were very attentive and provided excellent service during my stay. Okimy made sure all of my needs were met as I hung out by the beach. I could see him making connections and building relationships with other guests. Staff like Okimy are the reason I would stay at the Westin again.

Service at the Westin was great all around. Especially Adriana who is the host for the cabanas on the beach. Super friendly and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and comfortable! We are here for our 20th anniversary and she recommended we go to La Capella for dinner which is in the central zone. May have been the best dining experience we have ever had. Angel and Rafael were our servers by the beach and were also quick and friendly with service. We were very very happy with our experience overall and highly recommend the Westin!

Israel is so wonderful as a breakfast server. He is a delight to see each morning. He goes above and beyond to make your meal fantastic.

Hotel was just beautiful the whole open air concept was amazing. Staff was superb.

I am a Marriott member and chose to stay in their properties and very satisfied with this Westin. About a 12–15-minute ride from the airport and very convenient to shopping and restaurants. I was upgraded to one of their new suites that has direct access to a lazy pool right off your patio looking towards the ocean. Never had a swim-out room and would be ideal for families (I traveled solo) as kids would love it. The main entrance is on the 3rd floor and they have plenty of places to eat and drink on that level. There is a wonderful restaurant by the pool to have breakfast (buffet is around $26 PP based on exchange rate. The grounds were kept very clean and it was ‘low’ season so plenty of work was going on getting ready for the holiday season. There is also an OXXO right across the street (Mexican 7-11) and they take cash and cards and about a 3-minute walk from the entrance. I used Uber to get to my excursions and they were VERY quick (2-5 minutes) for pickup and the price was extremely reasonable. One thing about Puerto Vallarta, you will encounter speed bumps and stone and brick roads so any ride will be bumpy off the main roads. The hotel is located around 15-20 minutes to the center of Puerto Vallarta where the old town and promenade. There are many restaurants within walking distance and Uber can take you farther. I’d stay at this Westin again as the staff was great and the facility was very clean and glad I was able to visit during a slow time.

Very noisy, construction wakes you up very early and it’s nonstop till late afternoon. There’s no relaxing in this hotel! Rooms need more attention on cleaning and upkeep

Legitimate 5 star hotel. Staff were very good. Meals so so but timely. The Marina district is good if you are a walker or runner. Easy, clean and feels safe.
