The Westin Resort & Spa, Puerto Vallarta

From the minute we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the staff. Carlos and the front desk team provided us with a quick check in and complimentary champagne. We reserved a Cabana on the Playa for the afternoon (which was worth every $$), these are managed by Adriana and Akimy...both of whom were warm and accommodating. Overall, the 24 hour stay at Westin far surpassed my expectations as a result of their high level of Customer service. We don't see it much in the US anymore :) Thank you all for providing an exceptional experience!

Everything about the property was great! The moment you enter you’re greeted by the staff who are all so wonderful! The drinks was good and the food was actually surprisingly delicious.

Location was far from the town but it was easy to get uber rides out

Our recent stay at the Westin Resort and Spa in Puerto Vallarta proved to be most enjoyable. Of special mention was the staff who was always courteous and knowledgeable. In particular were Israel and Carlos at the morning buffet, Angel at the pool, Pedro and Carlos of the bell staff and Fabian and Carlos at the reception desk. We look forward to another visit at the Westin!

We had a great trip- Gaby was so wonderful with our daughter, and always stopped to say hi when walking around the resort. She took great care of our daughter in Kids Club!

Aqua gym class was fantastic with Angel great coach. He was there on time, his class was very entertaining and effective. The hotel service was excellent, great breakfast buffet, bed and pillows very comfortable and a fantastic view from our balcony. Walking distance to the Marina where many restaurants and stores are available.

Gabby, Okimi, Angel, y Efrain were so helpful on our trip. The most welcoming staff we’ve ever encountered. Gabby took her time to make arts & crafts with us as. Okimi was a great host and manager & made sure we were comfortable. Angel was welcoming & sweet. Efrain was the best server & would constantly check on us.

Efrain, Gaby, Angel, Okimy were all so amazing, it was my birthday and they made it so special for me!! Gaby brought her crafts to our cabana for us to make. Angel set up a cabana for us and was so helpful, carrying our towels and setting the cabana up for us ! Efrain was an amazing bartender waiter and taking care of us. Okimy kept us laughing !

I kicked off my birthday celebration here and was overjoyed by the attention & care I experienced. Juan Carlos greeted us when we arrived with sparkling wine. His gigantic smile and grounded energy was like be welcomed home by a family member. Then, Karen managed our check-in with ease and grace. Once she knew I was celebrating my birthday, she swung into action and surprised me by having our room decorated with balloons and candy. She gifted me with a free cabana for a day and had other desserts and a personal card sent to our room. Karen went above and beyond and I am grateful. Other staff members I enjoyed interacting with were: Pedro—always greeting me & others with positivity. AvaPaula was kind and eager to assist. All the staff at the Heavenly spa were welcoming, caring and took good care of us. This is the first time I experienced consistent extraordinary service from any hotel or resort. I will definitely return. The pools, decor and restaurants were festive and inviting. The breakfast buffet was outstanding! We had a room on the 7th floor with an ocean view and our own soaking pool. This is a wonderful place for couples, solo travelers and families.

We just arrived home from a short three day trip with friends. The hotel was like a ghost town. The pros: The pool was empty so easy to get a chaise lounge for the seven of us. We really enjoyed two days at the pool. Angel’s service at the pool was excellent. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast right on the beach. Options were good and the price was reasonable. The cons: The property is a bit tired. The room was okay, and the heavenly bed was nice, but the fixtures, including doors, just need to be updated. We had a significant service issue with Tanto (Japanese/Asian restaurant). Management bought us a round of drinks at the pool the next day but their response was insufficient. We didn’t push back but it felt that they were paying lip service just to move past it. We must have been a week early to the property as it was dead. While this resulted in some pros (no lines or pool chair issues) there was no atmosphere, and the restaurants, bars and retail was routinely not open for the hours advertised. The property needs a lot of renovation. The water feature out front looks like it hasn’t been running for a long time and takes what could have been a beautiful drive into the property and makes it an eyesore. While the property was dead, we arrived at noon and they made us wait until 3:00 pm for our room, despite the fact that there literally was no one there. We didn’t know that at check-in so we expected the delay, but after being there a day you realize that they just made you wait for no reason. The hotel was by no means awful, but we felt that it was not somewhere we would pick for our next trip. I will say that other than our restaurant issue the staff were all really kind, including Angel at the pool, Israel at the breakfast buffet, and Carlos at the front desk.
