Struggling to understand some of the reviews as we thought this hotel was a bit grim. Its only saving grace was the location which is only a short walk from the heart of Victoria. The huge room was very dated and not particularly clean. The bed was not very comfortable, not helped by the fact that there was no duvet and the bedding that was supplied was the wrong size for the bed. Querying this with staff just left puzzled faces but no resolution. There was no bar and the themed Floyd restaurant for breakfast and lunch. However when we went for breakfast we found they only served huge meals with no lighter options and no fruit - so we left. The cheesy and pretty elderly Scots piper playing the same couple of tunes (out of tune) to every arriving coach summed it up really. We couldn’t recommend this hotel.

Close to the ferry. Very professional and welcoming staff. Room was designed perfectly for the space and included a small balcony, living room, bedroom and bathroom for less than any hotel that I have ever stayed at anywhere in the USA. Plenty of hot water. More perfectly designed than anywhere in the USA. Can’t beat the cost, functionality and location. The elevator is tiny, like two people tiny so just be aware and I would have enjoyed more control over the room temperature because it did get warm and humid. Perfect introductory trip to Victoria and Canada. Would recommend this hotel 100 percent and will definitely stay here again. Thank you so much for hosting my first visit out of the USA. I will definitely be returning often.

My wife and I stayed for five nights. The location and everything else was good.

My wife and I stayed for five nights. And they put us in a room without a view and without a balcony, while the one nighters had the balconies. That we didn't like.
