Staff all really friendly and helpful ample parking Clean rooms and bathrooms

One member of staff (receptionist) on in the evening dealing with the bar plus reception. These areas are not close together so took some time to be served. No food menu in the evening Outside at the back looks quite untidy and unkept

Well I arrived at the hotel and was greeted by a very friendly woman at reception. The hotel is very old and grand but as I made my way upstairs with the lady and was shown my bedroom I was left feeling very deflated. I went downstairs to ask for an upgrade which I got. I decided to read some reviews. I know a bit late but I've been so busy lately. And shocked to hear about bed bugs. That kept me awake all night. Then there is a smell in the bathroom and mould at the back of the toilet. Very sad. Plus you have to get tea and coffee from landing and no nibbles. This hotel is sadly lacking in care and extremely overpriced next to the Radisson which I almost stayed in. Wish I had. I'm here for a two day conference but don't feel rested at all. Whilst I accept the sheets look clean the rest of the hotel is in urgent need of repair. I'm only glad I was staying here for one night.

Although you do have to spend £10 for car parking, you do get breakfast, a swimming pool and steam room, thrown in. Creaky floors, but room very comfortable and staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay here again, which is always the best recommendation.
