Denali Bluffs Hotel

Unfortunately Kensington Tours booked us in this property and did not reserve a premium room. The basic rooms are awful. Our room was dirty and tiny. There is no closet. The sink is in the room. We are traveling for two weeks including a cruise so we need a lot of luggage. With our luggage in the room there is barely room to turn around. Most of the electrical outlets could not charge phones. When we changed to go to bed we discovered a hardened blood stain on the sheets. As a result we slept fully clothed on the covers. This place is scary disgusting. On the other hand, the workers are very nice, pleasant and try their best, the views from the property are beautiful and the location is good. It does provide shelter, heat and running water. If you still choose to stay here make sure to stay in the upgraded rooms in the new building. I haven’t seen one of these rooms, but the buildings look nicer from the outside and I think they are larger.

All expectations were met and exceeded. Location great, vistas easy to get from train and they even provided great weather for us lol. The shuttle to all local activities runs well. Mountaineer restaurant on grounds well worth a visit. Staff could’t be better. Thumbs up.

The staff is friendly and the food at the Mountaineer is great. Do not stay at this hotel if you have any physical challenges. There are NO elevators. The rooms are in several buildings on a hill. No one offers to help bring your luggage to your room. There is a plumbing problem too. A foul odor when the water is run in the sink in room 2617. A foul odor walking by some buildings, and many of us waited a long time for hot water in the shower in several different rooms. The rooms are very dark.

Location was great. Spacious rooms, good restaurant, kind staff.

The only real complaint is uncomfortable mattress.

Denali Park and the hiking trails in / around the area. Hotel is very close to Denali National Park.

Ceiling "beauty strip to hide the joint where the 2 sheetrocks join was hanging down. There was a couple of spots of mildew in the shower. Toilet seat had a chip on the rim(not the cover). Not enough shelves around/under the room sink for toiletries, If it is warm out, make sure you ask for a fan, which we placed outside to bring in cool air. Asked for additional coffee packets for our room but they were out of the original packets. The second packets we received were bitter and did not have a lot of taste. Breakfast is not fresh/all of it pre-packaged

Excellent view of the Denali Park. Hotel staffs are very helpful and friendly. The cafe and pub within the campus offer great food options. The grocery store is within walking distance.

Great location! No cars on the property, but hills and rough paths making accessibility difficult.
