If I’d only known. Filthy common spaces, unprofessional front desk, dicey clientele, ancient furnishings, sketchy parking lot. Does Wyndham care at all about the franchise it’s allowing to carry its name? Have I been living under a rock? Does everyone know it can be this bad?

This is a "fine place to stay". Nothing special at all and honestly a little run down and out-dated, but it got the job done on a busy weekend in Madison where hotel rooms are limited. Room and bathroom weren't overly clean and one of the bed sheets had a mark on it and wasn't clean. The toilet also only flushed 1x every few hours, otherwise, it didnt work at all. We asked for these two issues to be fixed and the staff just put the replacement sheets on the bed folded up and the toilet issue was not resolved.

The air didn’t work, we had ants in our room, the shower was filthy, and then there was no one at the desk to even express our dissatisfaction to when checking out.

I originally booked a different hotel through Hopper, but when I arrived, I found out they no longer work with Hopper — even though the app still let me book. Hopper then moved my reservation way out the way to Microtel Inn & Suites Madison East, without clear info or transparency. When I arrived, I found out (only then) that I needed to pay a $100 cleaning deposit in CASH — something that wasn’t listed on Hopper or mentioned when the change was made. I’m a trucker, so after a long day, I just wanted to rest, stretch out, and enjoy some A/C and a hot shower. But instead, I was hit with surprise fees and disappointment. Let’s talk about the hotel: • The stairs and hallways were dirty before I even got to my room. • Strong, unpleasant odor on the second floor and inside the room. • Room was musty with the A/C completely off and barely working once turned on. • Room was not properly cleaned – table hadn’t even been wiped down. • TV only had a few channels working – the rest didn’t load at all. Overall, this was not a relaxing or comfortable stay, and definitely not what I expected or paid for. If you’re considering staying here, just be aware: 🔹 There’s a $100 cash-only cleaning deposit. 🔹 Expect low cleanliness standards. 🔹 A/C and room quality are not what’s shown online. Beautiful

Room was relatively clean but the Lighting was poor and the room remained damp during the entire stay. Carpet, bedding, towels... all damp. TV worked for short periods but never longer than 30 minutes at a time. Hotel staff were indifferent.

Front desk people were just nasty. Rooms were not as clean as they should’ve been. Dirty bed sheets, stained ceiling. And just overall bad room condition.

We walked into our room and it had hairs on the bed and stains on the bed sheets. We went back downstairs and the guy was gone for over 5 min. He asked if I wanted new sheets. Are you kidding? I want a new room. He then wanted us to show him the dirty room and the mess before taking us to another room. When we got to the new room it was as dirty as the first room.
