It was nice stay but I would say 3 star as there was no air conditioning. I was struggling to sleep during the night as it was boiling hot and it was summer. The receptionist was approachable and helpful. There was kettle and mini fridge which very essential in a 5 nights stay. The location is good as it was walking distance from tram and train, but not feel safe to walk during early and late hours. Supermarket and restaurants nearby. Overall good stay.

If you are thinking of booking the hotel in Summer, FORGET IT! You will not sleep in the heat! Fitted carpet and no AC. No fans either. better of sleeping outside!

This hotel is a budget hotel - there is no air conditioning and I have never been so hot in all my life - the reception staff were not friendly - I asked about a taxi and was given a curt answer. It is however clean. It is also central to a very nice suburb of Cologne and getting into central Cologne by train is easy.

Hotel was located just how we needed it to be for our trip however there was no air conditioning which made the room unbearable.

Grubby, uncomfortable beds (you can feel every spring in the mattresses). Booked a double, got a double bed frame with two single (old and tired) mattresses and two single quilts! No air conditioning, no fan, tiny opening window. Loud music blaring from next door between 2pm through to 2am. Cobwebs and musty carpet. One bottle of water in the room €4 ! Coffee and tea making facilities were cheap and nasty. Even if they were good they wouldn’t have been enough of it. No iron in the room. WiFi was ridiculously slow, 3G was faster. Didn’t dare try the breakfast. DO NOT STAY THERE.

My room smelled of cigarette smoke, and the plumbing didn't smell great either. Also, it's not easy to reach via public transport. Other than the odour, the room was clean. Not a bad breakfast.

Enjoyable experience as the hotel is close to my places of interest but my windows being close to the roadside, I had very sleeping time due to noises

A nurse brought me to the front desk as I’d just had a operation & was feeling so ill . Even though I’d already stayed there 2 nights previous the harridan receptionist insisted I paid the €5 tax due and filled out the registration. The nurse was appalled that the receptionist was just staring at me watching my shaking hands, struggling trying to find the money ! The poor nurse had to help . I mean .... how rude . We were checked in for two nights ( my husband arrived 10 mins later ) but stayed for one as I felt so uncomfortable after that . As we checked out , I nearly fainted whilst my husband got the car . The male receptionist just starred at my when I was asking for some Haribo sweets for the sugar . He pretended he didn’t know what I needed and came over with a sachet of sugar !! We said we were leaving a day early and he just shrugged !! Again , rude and inconsiderate.
