The Oberoi Beach Resort, Mauritius

An unforgettable experience that started at the airport with the Taxi that Oberoi sent to collect us. The pure humbleness and service of Oberoi staff started their. The resort service is best in the world and they spare no expense, i almost felt that they undercharged the package.

Excellent in all respects. Highly attentive, professional staff, yet very unobtrusive. Food excellent and the only place I would be happy to have half board (normally we only do B&B because we like to sample local food) but the menu changes and is excellent. Resort very quiet and always felt private and peaceful. not a place to go if you want excitement but definitely a place to go if you want peace, tranquillity, pampering and luxury

From the welcome greeting to our departure had been a very thoughtful, gracious, hospitable experience We stayed in the luxury pavilion which was an exquisite villa with a large comfortable bed, seating area and a lovely bathroom with a deep sunken bath and a powerful large shower suite. They provided a turn down service around 6pm and placed on our bed a weather report for the following day, free activities to be had for the following day including star gazing which I highly recommend ( our guide was fantastic) there is free yoga, Hindu ceremony and a cookery class which we unfortunately had to miss There are two pools one for adults and one for children with beach towels and plenty of water supplied for free The resturaunts are a delight but be warned they are slightly pricey The hotel will help organise excursions for you and taxi tours to other areas on the island for a very reasonable price The spa treatments were heavenly I highly recommend the hot shell treatment A hotel we will be revisiting very soon I'm sure

Well secluded luxury hotel. Excellent for couples or honey moon. They catered for everything you needed be it food, water activities. Rooms are well kept. Would highly recommend this hotel.

If you are looking to be totally pampered, avoid large hotel bustle and have fantastic service this is the place. Every member of staff greets you when you pass them and they cannot do anything more to help you.

We just spent a wonderful 5 nights at the Oberoi and loved every second. The rooms are large and luxurious with a private terrace and an especially nice bathtub big enough for 2. The water sports are gratis including a snorkel boat 3x a day that goes out to just past the reef very closeby. The snorkeling right off the beach is also nice and full of fish. The beach itself is lovely and even had wifi. The spa was amaaaaaazing! The food was very good and the 2 restaurants had many options from grilled fish to Indian to French cuisine. The adult pool was fantastic! It is located on the beach, has hammocks to lie in, and is very private. The service was spectacular with all of the staff eager, helpful, and plentiful. This vacation was relaxing and fabulous and would recommend the oberoi as the place to rewind and rejuvenate and enjoy some romance. A few notes: Wifi is plentiful throughout the rooms and grounds (even the beach) and I believe included for everyone I think breakfast is also included for everyone (there were no prices on the menu) The weather was perfect. It did not rain once even though when I checked the report for port Louis, the capital only a few kilometers away, it was supposed to rain everyday. There are a lot of micro climates on the island and even though it might have rained everyday in port Louis it didn't at the resort. The hotel reception said that the Internet weather is not accurate so don't let a rainy forecast keep you from booking

We did not realise that the hotel was a resort and so far away from towns. We spent a lot of time and money on taxis. The quality of food in the main restaurant was poor. The bar was excellent with a high level of service by all the staff there.
