Hyatt House Chicago Schaumburg

El Hyatt House es recomendable si se quiere estar en la zona de Schaumburg, pero no lo es si quiere ir al concepto de Chicago como dowmtown.

La simpleza de la propiedad, el café que sirven como cortesía esta frio y no se siente como fresco. A la llegada vimos que tenían muchas botellitas de agua en la recepción, pero los recepcionistas deciden a quien se las dan o no. No se cual es el criterio para decidirlo.

Do not let the Hyatt name fool you. This is by far the worst place I have ever stayed at. The rooms are dirty, outdated, dingy and smelly The mattress was so old it was warped and the sheets were like cardboard. The remote for the 1990 tv was broken in the bedroom and the tv in the main room was so old and it sat on an old entertainment center from the 90s with empty compartments where you could see the wires in the back. Bathroom toilet ran all night and we had no hot water. I called the manager to express my concerns and he hung up on me. Do not stay in this dump!

The breakfast was adequate for the price. It was hot and re-filled quickly. The coffee was good and they had a good assortment of breads and cereals. I would definitely refer this hotel to friends and family.

They phones were not connected for use. The front desk person stated they had just acquired the property from a former owner, and they had not set up the phones yet. Also, when we first checked in, out room had a foul odor, (like dirty mop water). I informed the front desk and they sent a housekeeper to the room who stated, she did not smell anything and left a small can of air freshener, which helped but did not solve the problem. I didn't want to change rooms because my elderly mother was in the next room and no other rooms in close proximity were available. Also, the shower in my room would not get hot. It went from room temperature to cold. This was very disappointing. While the decor was nice, I wished they focused more on the details that mattered.

The breakfast was okay

My room wasn’t cleaned well. The next morning I asked housekeeping for cleaning supplies so I could do it myself. The pool area was closed my first night due to water issues. I visited the pool the following day and the pool area was very cold which made it uncomfortable to enjoy. The jacuzzi was not working as well.

We didn’t have a car so was a little isolated

I like that everything I needed was at one location, they offered free breakfast, indoor pool and a basketball
