ARRIVE Wilmington

A unique hotel and our favorite place to stay in Wilmington. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Check in was seamless. The rooms are clean and well appointed bedding was excellent. The location is very walkable and perfect for exploring the Riverwalk and Historic Downtown. The grounds and courtyard are well groomed and beautiful, very relaxing space. The outdoor fireplaces, firepits and gazebo/bar are an added bonus. We will definitely be back.

We stayed for two nights and thought the room and the whole property were excellent. The staff is great. The food at the restaurant and bar Dram Yard was also top notch. We didn’t want to leave!

We had an incredible stay at ARRIVE! A delightful hotel with clean, comfortable rooms. We loved the charming enclosed courtyard garden with fire pits and a gazebo bar. A very cozy feeling while in the midst of the city. We had both breakfast and dinner at the on-site restaurant, Dram Yard. TY was our breakfast barista. Amanda, our server and Emily the bartender took care of us at dinner. All provided exceptional service! Great food and craft cocktails (best flounder I have ever tasted.) Olivia was our go to for all room needs! The hotel/ restaurant staff and administrators were friendly and accommodating. Easy walking distance to nightlife, historic homes and Riverwalk. We will definitely be staying at ARRIVE on our next visit to Wilmington!”

We very much enjoyed our stay. Kevin was very helpful in assisting us when we needed various things like conditioner, trash bags, etc. He was kind to visit with us every night we were there this weekend! We shared all the fun details of our trip when we came in to the hotel and were always excited to see him! This was a wonderful hotel experience for the both of us. We are big fans of “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” so it was an honor to stay at the hotel where they filmed for season 3. The location of the hotel was perfect to many different things that we wanted to see in Wilmington! We enjoyed the fire pits outside at the hotel and the restaurant/bar inside! Had some issues with our stay. There is no valet and parking was an issue bc we payed for parking through the hotel but they did not register our vehicle until we got a parking violation warning. I would recommend registering your car yourself after you park it in the designated lots they have available. Second, there is no 600 count luxury Italian bedding. This was a false advertisement. The bedding in this hotel is like any other chain hotel you would stay at. Third, there is no ice or water available and the water you can buy in your room is $13 per bottle. I was charged $5.35 for a mini fridge Diet Coke. Very disappointing to be overcharged for one can of soda. Fourth, and this is a big one, on our second night of stay we were awoken to a strong smell of raw sewage that permeated our room on the third floor. It lingered until check out at 11am that morning and as a result we had a very poor nights sleep. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk staff, it was handled very poorly. Something more should have been done for us. Maybe comping the $5.35 coke charge would have been a good start. Keep in mind if you stay here, many boutique amenities that are advertised like valet and luxurious bedding do not come with your stay and you will get a parking ticket if you don’t register your car yourself. I gave this property 3 stars (which was generous) bc it was in a great location for walking to downtown, it had a beautiful outdoor common area, and the bar staff at the restaurant was very nice and accommodating.
