We found Maria, the concierge extremely helpful for booking taxis at the best rate, advice on moving about the city and obtaining money, which would have otherwise been a problem. The other desk staff were also patient and charming. The restaurant staff were most attentive and fun. Loved the saxophone player!

A fantastic venue for sight seeing. Everyone we met was exceptionally friendly. Peterson by hydrofoil is a MUST, ad is the Hermitage. Lots to see and do. Best to organise everything yourself as hotel add-ons are expensive.

This hotel is a gem of a find. It is located next to St. Isaac's Square and Cathedral and connected to the Hotel Astoria next door. The reception staff and bellhops were courteous and most helpful. The room and bath were both large, clean and up to date. It is centrally located near many of St. Petersburg's top visitor sites.

Amazing view of St Isaacs. Lovely pool, sauna and gym. Very good breakfast buffet available until 10.30.

The hotel was perfect for us. It was bang in the centre, had everything we needed. We were impressed by the service particularly of the 'concierge' who was knowledgeable about cultural events in St Petersburg and found very reasonable tickets for things we wanted to see. They had good taxi connections and advice on getting around. Breakfasts were good and snacks like soups whenever necessary!

Not much information was given to us when we checked in regarding the great location of the hotel. In fact, no staff volunteered the info. The hotel's location is actually a great attraction to tourists such as us (so many tour attraction are so close to the hotel). It was a shame we found out after we checked out.

One of the better hotels in the area

I stayed at this hotel for five nights while attending a conference in St. Petersburg and have nothing but positive feedback. It was very clean - no worries about dust, mold or mildew for people with allergies. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, including the beds. The staff spoke English and were extremely courteous and helpful with all aspects of my stay, including providing recommendations, reservations, and directions. The location, diagonally across from St. Isaac's Cathedral, can't be beat. It's walking distance to many restaurants, Nevsky Prospect and a subway station. As a young, single woman, I felt safe walking around the neighborhood and to/from the hotel. A buffet breakfast was included in my room rate, and included a nice spread of hot items (including eggs, cereal, potatoes and pancakes), granola, fresh & dried fruit and nuts, pastries, cheese and vegetables.
