Axel Beach Miami-South Beach - Adults Only

For those that know the Axel Brand for their hotels in Europe then this one is going to come as shock, it's nothing like their other hotels. This hotel is a failed relic of Miami with very little money being put into the hotel by the Axel group. Poor rooms, peeling paint in bathrooms, poor plumbing, (don't expect a hot shower you are going to be disappointed) Outrageous resort fee a pure rip off, a pool full of leaves , overpriced drinks, a tiny gym, a holding / security deposit that you have to chase up getting a refund for. Reception staff are pleasant but everything is nickle and dime, even as a guest if you want to leave your bags after checkout for an hour or 2 it will cost you. Bed sheets and towels had long hairs on them, it's just poor poor poor. Certainly no incentive to go back and the rooms are NOTHING like they appear in publicity

Location is great, the rest forget it. Bathrooms and showers are a joke!!! No pressure on water, no space in the shower, bed is not queen!!! This hotel needs to be closed and get an overhaul renovation!!!

This hotel is expensive for what it is. You are paying for the Collins Avenue location. The Air Conditioning in my room was set too cold and I could neither turn it down or off as its controlled centrally. The hotel could not store my luggage for 2 hours when I was leaving because they are short of space, and also theres a $5 charge. When I'm paying $370 for 2 nights you want to charge me another $5? Otherwise, an acceptable stay.

Lots to do in the historic Art Deco section of Miami Beach. Definitely worth staying at and reasonable prices for this location

Location and staff were awesome! It was sept and off season a bit so it was not very busy. The pool is fantastic and the beach is only 2 blocks away. It is a great place to stay if visiting Miami beach and/or Miami. Our only issue was the room door lock which broke twice and I was told that it was an ongoing issue. I was not happy that they gave me a room with this issue when other better rooms had been available at the time. I would recommend this hotel as overall, it was very good.

Too small for price

First solo holiday and first time in the states! great time, great location. It was quiet when I went (which is what I was looking for) but following their insta it seemed a lot more busy over the summer. Sorry this review is delayed but I’d just to say a special thanks to Javier on reception who assisted me when having to stay an extra two nights as BA cancelled my flight. I’m looking forward to returning
