Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Garland/Dallas

This is a low budget motel we stayed at to view the eclipse the following day which did not dissapoint. However, this Microtel reeks of old and cheap so should be avoided if you have other choices. It is next to the what has to be the biggest bowling alley on the planet if you’re into that and a Walmart Supercenter.

Took two weeks to receive my deposit back & the furniture in the room was missing doors .

I walked into the room three roaches in the bed , i automatically checked out and left

This is the second year we have stayed there and we were very happy with the room, the price and the very helpful management. They helped us a lot with trying to track down Amazon packages that we had ordered but not arrived due to bad weather.

Beds are hard. Linen was either stained or just not clean. Spills/stains on carpet, mirror in bathroom in poor condition. The staff were friendly, but not always at front desk area. Breakfast was free, but poor. Not available when it was supposed to be, took 2 visits to lobby to find a staff to ask for breakfast ... it was handed out in a small brown paper bag, a cold pre packaged kolache and a pre packaged muffin. Probably will nit stay here again, but it was conveniently located to where we needed to be early in the morning, which is the reason I selected this motel.

The stay was nice the workers are very nice I have been using them for over a year. From day one customer service has been very nice. It.Is a convenient place for quick get aways. It is convenient for food, shopping and entertainment.

Spend more and get a better hotel. The desk person sat behind a plexiglass barrier. The continental breakfast was a small brown bag with a muffin and a breakfast sandwich in it which needed to be put in the microwave! The lock on the door was loose and light shone though the crack around the door.

We had a nonsmoking room and it smelled really bad like cigarette. We also found a cigarette bud in the room. No smoke detector and some mold in the restroom.

When the desk clerk is surrounded by plexiglass, that is not a good sign. The continental breakfast was a Lillie brown bag with a muffin and a little sausage in a wrap! Coffee was not hot. First room I was given had a missing safety latch! Toilet liked from the tank whenever it was flushed. No one came to look at it so it continued to leak! The carpeting was stained and the whole room was “ shop worsen”.

Bathroom was dirty, hole in wall b hind door, room smelled sour
