Pinestone Resort & Conference Centre

A one night stay with my son, expecting a place to relax after a sporty day. But ... The key of the room did not work, had to go back to reception, the room was cold with a small heater from another century, we've been finally relocated in another room. The pool is in maintenance so not accessible. The restaurant is closed so no breakfast in the morning. The beds were very comfortable anyway. But never again.

Fantastic staff, great spot and lots of activities

When my stay was confirmed they said the pool and spa and gym would be available and none of it was. I have a bad back and hip so the indoor pool was the main reason I picked the spot.

This property is falling apart. It’s run done. We were here 22 years ago and nothing has changed. Old dirty carpets and couches with stains. Two Bedroom villa came with nothing. No hot plate, toaster or anything. The fireplace didn’t work. The tvs are so old, only like 3 channels and all fuzzy. I’m guessing hockey tournaments only thing keep them in business because there are no other accommodations in Haliburton. Outrageous prices for what this place offers and how run down it is. Oh and the pool was under construction. Only reason we thought it would be nice! Never again. Find an air b n b!

Besides that the Hotel owners are somewhat neglecting the property, you could still feel the staff pride in the establishment. The Restaurant was good, we had a lovely meal. Service was really good, and we got a good nights sleep. I know in its hay day this hotel was beautiful ... if I was a ga-zillionaire, I'd buy this joint up and fixer up to her grandeur that she once was. I got a soft spot for this hotel and its memories. We went in June 2022 (I only put 2024 cuz TripAdvisor don't go back that far)

The resort called us directly and cancelled a week before we were to check in and we needed to make alternate arrangements. There is no hydro at this location currently and they said they could take no bookings. Please ensure there was no charge to our credit card

These bums canceled my reservation, I was 6 kms from their door and 35 minutes after check in time. I stopped anyway, abandoned and very run down looking. Bad reviews from every town folk we met. they ghosted all attempts of communications!!

This hotel was closed when I went to check in.

WARNING! Do NOT book here. We arrived to discover the hotel is shut down bc there is no electrical/hydro. Apparently, it was shut down 1-1/2 weeks ago. We booked just 5 days ago (due to a funeral in the area); they confirmed our rez just 3 days ago!!!! No one texted or emailed us to say they were closed!! Unbelievable. We were luckily able to get a fabulous chalet at Sir Sams Inn ….for $20 a night less.

We booked Pinestone resort in Haliburton Sept 27 and 28. They didn't have working air conditioning nor heat. They had a fan and a small heater that we could plug in. No breakfast either. They also had issues for more than 24 hours with TV - no access to any programs, just "snow". The pool, sauna, and exercise room were also out of commission. They would do nothing because i booked with 3rd party,and suggested I contact Expedia. We have stayed here before. No issues. I have never given a bad rating before. We were so disappnted. We attended a wedding and celebrated our 50th anniversary on the 28th. The accommodations kind of took the romance out of our celebrations.
