Mariner's Village Resort

The location was very near the marina and a good Mexican restaurant was in walking distance.

The outside door’s electronic key mechanism had been broken into and it had been duct taped back to the door facing. Hence, it didn’t offer any protection against anyone not a registered guest at the hotel. There was a used towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door when we first arrived, so the hotel cleaning staff need coaching. Breakfast offerings were not inviting, and the coffee was absolutely disgusting—very low quality and stale tasting. The half and half creamer was not even chilled, and it was so OLD, it had turned into a semi-solid “goo” that wouldn’t even come out of the container. The pool was filled with green algae and wasn’t adequately sanitary as a result. The absolute worst thing, though, was finding a dead tick body on the bedspread when I turned down the spread to get in bed. I was grossed out and anxious about this all night long. I’m very very disappointed in the facility and its so-called amenities. Would not recommend or stay there again.

Do not count on the breakfast. Never much out there so it was gone fast. Took a long time to get things replenished. Quality of food was basic.

Property was nice and it sat on the water.

Room was dirty. I had to go to Walmart to buy cleaning supplies to clean the toilet and the tub which had scum around it, dead bugs that were sitting on the couch which clearly you could tell the room was not clean. I'm entering the hotel there is no air condition turned on they had fans going in the hallway, too cheap to turn on their air conditioning. Upon check in I was told we had a room and once getting there the front desk realized we did not have a room booked and charged us an additional $40 to have a suite like she was doing this a favor told us there would be a view of the water and we got a view of a parking lot in the front.

they put us in a handicap room and we are not handicapped. it wasn't a very pleasant stay. The staff was hardly there and she told us at check in not to book with booking.com because we would pay more which wasn't true. we wont be going back there the next time we see family in the area. Also the room was not as clean as we expected .overall it was not a good experience

The air conditioner was not working properly. Had it set all the way down to 69 and still woke up hot and sweaty ( I keep my home unit at 75 and am comfortable)
