"Meh. I've had better."

4.0

The resort feels dated: rooms, facilities...everything is "fine", but not memorable. The restaurant experience was positively ridiculous. We waited for over an hour for our food to be served.

"Nice location bit tired room and hotel felt shut down."

6.0

Nice location and food was good. Unfortunately many restaurants where closed during our stay and only main restaurant was open with sometimes reduced hours. Mattress was not comfortable. Window in room did not lock and it was on mainfloor facing parking lot which is a safety concern.

"Maybe summer is better? Cause winter sucks."

2.0

Maybe it’s better in the summer. First winter trip and menus, options and availability is limited in all aspects Spa needs a serious upgrade. I’m 6’3” and the robes and tables designed for 5’8” max. Wasted $200 on a massage that I had to spend worried about falling off the table. Couldn’t relax at all

"A great family winter vacation"

8.0

We stayed at the lake side lodge. Rooms were new, spacious and clean. Over all a great place to stay with all the basics included. However, the rooms could have used some maintenance ( crack tile and grout in the shower) the “hot” water in the shower was not that hot and took forever to get there. Lots of activities to do on site . Snow shoeing, hiking, cross country skiing, rock wall, kids area and pool. All can be accessed via a short shuttle ride. Hidden valley ski hill is also 4min away and can also be accessed with the shuttle. The shuttle drivers were very friendly and helpful. Although, the rock wall was expensive we had a great time and the staff were very friendly. If you want a bit more adventure the arrow park is only 14min away. With all kinds of beautiful scenic trails for hiking, snowshoeing, x skiing and skating A great weekend had by all we will returning

"No more a premier resort."

4.0

We used to bring our kids up to Deerhurst over the years and enjoyed it many times as a couple. It definitely has changed and declined. While our room in the Lakeside Lodge was nice, the rest of the resort is sorely lacking. What used to be the beautiful, bright and airy “Eclipse” restaurant, is now the drab, small and lacklustre “Drift” restaurant and bar. It is bland and looks like a cafeteria. It doesn’t appear that the “Antler”steakhouse (which sadly burned down) will be resurrected and the Pub was closed as well. You pay a $39.95 per night “resort” fee for well….nothing. A tired looking indoor pool and that’s about it. No more game tables (eg. ping pong). Definitely a disappointment. Won’t be going back anytime soon

"Nice but can be better."

8.0

The location is good. 10 mins to Huntsville. The view is also good. During winter time, the trail near bay is nice and peaceful. But if you stayed during week day, there are few restaurent to choose for dinner. The equipment rental closed earlier, so people can't attend the night time activities like skate rink or snow shoes trail. The heater in the room is not enough for colder weather (-20'C).

"Family visit to Deerhurst"

6.0

My family and I went to Deerhurst during the week, to beat the hustle and bustle as we have a 14month and 2.5yr old. Unfortunately only one restaurant was open, no ‘coffee shop’ and options were limited for alternative food options so we ate in town for our meals. The apartment was nice, had amenities, but very dated and needs maintenance on fireplace. Activity options for toddlers were also limited or unavailable so we used the pool and treehouse playroom for our stay. Overall, most staff were nice and warm while others lacked training, experience and awareness and the resort in important areas is extremely dated.
