Marriott's StreamSide Birch at Vail

We are Vacation Club members who have stayed at a number of MVC properties. This one was on the bottom of the list so far. It was not terrible, but certainly not to the same standards as other resorts. The rooms were equipped well and clean, though tired and a bit dated. The Birch building has no AC, which in and of itself is not a problem if you close the blinds during the day and open everything up in the evening. The problem is the noise from the nearby interstate, which made watching tv or speaking across the room problematic, not to mention sleeping. There were limited property amenities as far as activities go. The pool and pool deck were small, the game room was limited but there were 4 hot tubs and several grill areas. We went in summer but if you went for skiing in winter, your needs would be met better. Although our stay was adequate, we likely won't be back.

At the end of our stay, we found black mold under the sink and water leaking from the sink under the cabinet. It is on the back wall of the kitchen sink. We noticed a slight smell near the sink, but thought it was the garbage disposal. That was so unfortunate to discover this at the end of our trip and I do have allergies! The staff and cleaning crew were very professional and helpful.

With no A/C, life is miserable. You are forced to open the windows and suffer the exceleration sounds for the I-70 entrance ramp. They give you a fan to stir the hot air around. The ceiling noise is horrible as mentioned previously. I thought the family above us were conducting a gymnastics class. Before, the customer service jumps in and recommends requesting a top floor unit, high floor is in my profile. If you can get past the misery of no peace and quiet and going to bed when it is 80 degrees inside, the room is nice and comfortable. No laundry inside the unit. As a long time MVC member, I failed my family in not reviewing the previous reviews, which were accurate.

One of the worst experiences in our trip.The lady at the front desk took forever to check us in at 1:40 am..She had no clue about the hotel map or the room numbers.Misguided us and finally we couldn’t step into the room till 2:45 am and then the room was another mess.Not so clean bathrooms.We just wasted our money on this hotel.

I recently stayed here for a week and could not have been happier with the stay. It's super close and convenient to get to the mountain-the shuttle picks up every 15 minutes starting at 8:05am so we were able to take the first lift up when skiing. The condo is really comfortable. It was just the two of us but we easily could have accommodated another couple in the room. The views from the front balcony and window were really nice to wake up to each morning. Super friendly staff, too!

Very nice installation. Excellent communication with the personal.

Check-in was quick and easy. They gave us a Covid kit ( masks, hand sanitizer, wipes, bottled water) and restaurant recommendations. There was plenty of parking near our room. We found our room to be spacious and well appointed. Nice dining table and chairs + bar stools at the kitchen counter. Comfortable couch and coffee table, with a corner fire place and TV in the living room. Kitchen had all the appliances, dishes and utensils that we needed. There was even a single use box of All laundry detergent in case you wanted to wash clothes down the hall. Beds were very comfortable, and bathroom had a great shower. It was lovely sitting on the balcony, having our morning coffee, looking at the forest. Overall a stay. Impressed that everything was so CLEAN!

Don't stay here unless you are assured of a top floor apartment. The ceilings transmit every footstep from above like a big base drum. Otherwise the apartments and facilities are quite good, except that the recreation facilities are in a separate admin building and difficult to access in winter. There is a good shuttle service for skiers, although it only goes to Lionshead.

we stayed here to take advantage of ski-ing at Vail. we have a more upmarket timeshare in Utah. Actually it is fine to spend longer in less upmarket places to get variety. Streamside is easy, decent size, looks into the trees and down at the stream, each of my husband and I had a bathroom ( always a plus) the laundry is downstairs, and in the jacuzzi up the steps at the pool I met interesting and pleasant people. Shopping for groceries and meals are a short walk ( or even shorter drive) away and the access to the slopes is a shuttle bus well set up for skiers
