The fact we had to swap rooms at half past 11 at night because we had nests of ladybugs in our room then we got moved again to find more in the second room was a very distressing stay.

I took my daughter for her birthday. we could not fault anything from start to finish. Beautiful room, comfortable beds Champagne waiting for us. Liza brought our afternoon tea lovely and friendly. food Amazing service fantastic. spar 100% over all best stay ever. all ready planning another visit.. 150% Fantastic.

To be honest staff not enough at breakfast, cheap coffee and food not hot

the room had no aircon and at that price i would have expected air con - a fan was provided not good enough - shower had hair in it when i went to use it - its dated and needs a major overhaul - coffee at breakfast was disgusting as the urn was full of instant coffee - over priced for a sandwich and drinks

We booked a one-night spa break with dinner and treatments. It was an okay stay, but a few bits stopped it being somewhere we’d go back to. Treatment times are only confirmed on the day, which is mentioned, but even after calling ahead I couldn’t get any hint of when to arrive. We turned up at 3pm and got 4pm slots, which worked, but turning up at 4 would’ve meant missing them completely. There’s nothing that says “arrive before X time”, which feels like an easy fix. They also say treatments might be the following day, which isn’t great on a one-night break. When we got to the spa they only had one of us booked, although they sorted it and fit us both in. My wife loved her massage. Mine wasn’t great. The room was clinically bright, the quality of the treatment was not up to scratch and the “55 minute” slot was less than 50 for me including changing. The pool area is lovely. A beautiful setting and really nice spot to relax. You can order drinks poolside, except I called the bar five separate times over an hour and nobody answered, so we didn’t get to try that part. Our room was excellent. Spacious, spotless and really comfortable with a brilliant bed and bathroom. Dinner was the highlight. The food was fantastic and genuinely really enjoyable. Service didn’t quite keep up. My beer arrived quickly but the glass of wine didn’t. When it eventually came the server thought we’d ordered the bottle and free-poured a glass, so it wasn’t a normal measured serving. He said the glass would be complimentary and he’d bring a proper one, but that never appeared. We did get money off the wine in the bill, which was appreciated, but it still felt a bit unpolished. We were originally given a 7pm dinner slot which didn’t leave much time between a 4pm treatment and getting ready. They did move it when we asked, but it felt like timings were more about fitting guests into gaps rather than helping people enjoy the facilities. Breakfast was fine. Overall it was an okay stay but not great. Lovely surroundings, amazing food and a great room, but the service, organisation and spa didn’t quite match the setting.

As a member utterly disappointed that they took £90 out of my bank without any warning. I had to call to find out why and was told this was the price increase From£75 to £90. This is a big jump for somewhere that is only a spa. The big know luxury gyms charge and provide so much more so I’m not sure if it’s now worth it anymore . The bubble beds have been out of use for months . We use fit have a lovely towering robe and two towels to use for the day, which they have changed to a thin waffle town that doesn’t dry you and one very small Thin towel. So you just get wet and cold quickly making it more difficult to stay and enjoy the pools and relaxation room if you’re soaking wet. It’s simply not enough to stay. I will look into the other luxury gyms now to compare
