Devonshire House Hotel

The Devonshire House Hotel was overall quite good. It's a large hotel wirh good amenities. The room was adequate for our needs. Unfortunately there were stains on the bed linen. The bathroom was clean & the shower was very good. The room.was tidy & reasonably clean. The carpet had some stains on it. We used the bar which was reasonably priced & stocked. We also had the breakfast. It was ok, nothing special at all. Overall the staff were helpful & courteous. The hotel was convenient for our visit & was reasonably priced.

Just a warning to couple who book a double room not to take room 102 - we made the mistake of not checking in earlier (but you do trust these hotels to do their job!!) Town was quite a distance from hotel so as we were celebrating a 50th birthday didn't check in till after midnight - when got key card to room were shocked to find how small the room was and the bathroom too. It was only when we got into bed we discovered the bed was not double standard more a 3/4 bed, by then it was after 2.30am so knew it be impossible to get room changed. The bed should be thrown away was so uncomfortable even for a single person!. When returned home we discovered the slip of paper that we had been given with room card you could see the word 'single' was rubbed out with a pen so room 102 is for a single person. We complained to hotel & they refunded half the price that we had paid but we do feel that it should have been a full refund as this was dishonest way of doing it.

A basic hotel, with clean rooms, which has seen slightly better days.

Had a lovely time, rooms clean and very nice. Reception staff helpful and polite. Hotel is close to city centre, bus connection close by, Uber average £5.50 to get to city centre. Taxi around £9. Stayed two nights, unfortunately not had breakfast, so can't leave a review in terms of food. In my opinion £9.95 a bit pricey for breakfast. Plenty of cafes, about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. McDonald's and some supermarkets near by. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

Huge room, although the decor was a little dated with the odd stain or mark it was great value for money. It was cleaned daily good tv lovely bath. did the trick for me whilst working in Liverpool. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

We stayed at the Devonshire House Hotel for one night in a standard room for two. We wanted a really cheap accommodation with carpark while visiting Liverpool so this was perfect. Its not walking distance to the city center but the hotel reception called a taxi for us and it cost us less then 6 pounds. Very friendly and helpful staff. We also had breakfast buffe which was good. Classics English breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausages, baked beans and toast. Also fresh juices and yoghurt. The hotel is a charming old building, very nice. Our room was spacious and clean. Very comfy bed. No minifridge unfortunately. We didn't explore the local area but it didn't seam to be much around. There was a petrol station next to the hotel where we bought a few beers other then that we didn't see any supermarket or shops. We weren't looking either because we had plans in the city center so didn't spend much time at and around the hotel :) Summary: Well worth the money. One of the cheapest places within a 2 miles radius of Liverpool City center for a 3 star hotel. As I said, we wanted a hotel with free carpark and breakfast so we were very happy with this hotel.

Was a very good stay. Very clean and comfortable. Good shower and great price.
