Devonshire House Hotel

Hotel is only a short journey out of City centre. Easy access via Taxi about £5 without tip or a 10 min bus journey.

I was in Liverpool for my daughters graduation and she recommended this hotel to me. It's a no fuss, clean and comfortable hotel, the room I had was bright and spacious but could have done with a bit of decorating to tidy it up. For the price I paid for a one night stay you couldn't ask for more.

For a one night stay this hotel was fine. Basic but clean room, good reasonably priced food, cooked breakfast and friendly, welcoming staff. The hotel is about a mile from the centre of Liverpool and parking at night in the town centre is free on the side roads leading down to the riverside. A taxi costs no more than £3 or £4. All in all a pleasant stay and would use the hotel again. The only problem at the moment are the road works taking place on the road of the hotel meaning that access to the hotel is via the rear road (Holly Road). Detours are in place.

Unfriendly arrogant staff. Staff's behavior as their job and guest are burden to them. House keeping second day no toiletries replenished, no towel change, not new bed sheets changed. manager's comment about plastic glasses in room" you get what you paid"

The hotel was clean enough and the staff very good and helpful , the building is in good condition the foyer, lounge bar/breakfast area excellent but other areas could do with a bit of maintenance, But all in all it was ok,

Looks nice from the outside but in desperate need of a refurb! Faulty electrical sockets in room - had to get another kettle because the one in the room wouldn't work and couldn't be unplugged! Reception did sort this for me quite quickly to be fair but slightly worrying they would book a room out in such a state of disrepair. Plus one of the light socket not attached to the wall properly. Cannot comment on breakfast as didn't eat. Not the best hotel I've stayed in but did the job as was there on my own for a marathon and essentially just needed a bed and shower for the weekend

Room tired but clean. Beds really Comfortable. Bathroom ok. Cheap & cheerful hotel.

enjoyed our stay.rooms need some refurbishment. good breakfast. friendly staff. despite the downsides I wouldn't hesitate to book it again

The room was barely ok. It had a damp smell in it. We only had 1 towel and 2 of us stayed there. £9.95 for a breakfast is a bit pricey.

Room was ok but there are better rooms at this hotel, we did have the hotel fire alarms go off at 07.20 one morning and no communication from hotel. I'm had to go down to reception to find out if all was ok. But on a whole the staff are friendly and it says what it does on the tin
