Devonshire House Hotel

It is good hotel for the price that I payed. It's clean and tidy. Staff is very friendly.

As it was merely a bed for the night after a works night out it was adequate. The room was clean but long, long overdue some TLC!!!

Awful stay. Over priced. On arrival the corridors smelt strongly of smoke. There was a leak in our room from the window dropping straight onto our bed, leaving the pillows wet and us having to physically move our bed to prevent getting wet. Reception staff was not helpful and never asked how our stay was on check out. Emailed the manager of the hotel since leaving the hotel and still no response to the email. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

In desperate need of redecorating. My room had mould all over the bathroom ceiling the wooden skirting board beneath the shower tray was rotten. The wall was flaking paint and in places you could see down to the plaster board. The mattress was very cheap and uncomfortable the quilt cover was stained and the whole place in a run down state.

Used this hotel for an Everton game and was pleasantly surprised. A bit of a walk to the ground which took about 45mins. Likewise the distance in to the city centre. The hotel itself was cheap and comfortable so no complaints. Decent TV and coffee and tea making facilities. Quiet cold in the roommates tariff (especially the bathroom) but the additional electric heater took care of that. Recommended for a decent cheap overnight stay. No real complaints.

Unfortunately the bed was very uncomfortable so I didn't sleep too well, The food in the restaurant was good and also good value but not much choice. This could be a great hotel but I felt it was in desperate need of renovation.

Everyone at this hotel is really nice. The building has had some work done, but it is very old. The carpets are frayed, beds not super comfortable, but fine. baherooms are dated, but everything is clean, and there is good water pressure. It is close to Alder Hey and the price is consistent with what you get.

Like going back to 1980

the shower didn't work and the heating wasn't fully functional.

Good location.. Good service.. The only thing to note is that the double room I stayed in was two single beds pushed together rather than a double bed but there were no issues with that for us..
