Noisy all night due to scar alarm going off repeatedly all night. Bar across the road noisy till ver kate

I’d been warned about noisy seagulls but no problems with any noise. Split full breakfast between 2 - plenty! 2nd day had afternoon tea for 2 and sat in the box bed table. Very nice. My friend needed lots of help with this and that, e.g. boarding pass printout, and always got service with a smile. I’ve often passed the bar and wanted to enjoy fine single malts but not this time because I had a cold. WiFi signal not great.

Excellent hotel

Mattress on the bed needs replacing and the hotel should invest in double glazing sound proof glass and not buying ear plugs.

The Carmelite was the venue for Sundays Aberdeen-Glasgow Backgammon Club Challenge. A spacious venue with friendly staff - nice buffet provided. The bar area has lots of comfy chairs for tired backgammon players to lounge in...I stayed in the hotel on the Saturday and was impressed by the room - comfortable and clean and a decent size for a single traveler (the price was very good too). Next time we play Aberdeen would be happy to stay there again - and I may even go back sooner just so I can see more of Aberdeens impressive buildings and a museum or 2. Many thanks to the Carmelite for being a great venue ;-)
