A lovely, cozy hotel with a great atmosphere. Had a lovely stay

Noisy room (earplugs provided). Otherwise OK. Good offer for reasonable prise in this location.

Average room. Fine for a pillow to sleep on at night if your planning not being in the room very much. We live an hour away from aberdeen so ideal for us when we come shopping and need somewhere to stay that is cheap and cheerful. It is very loud at night so qould be worth asking for a room that doesnt face onto the pub outside. However me and my partner are not light sleepers so this did not phase us. Staff were friendly and polite. Place could be done with a freshen up but this is fairly reflected on the price you pay. We will defo be back as we apprieciate the breakfast times and check out, you can have a relaxing morning without having to worry about check out at 10. Check out was at 12 and breakfast was served all morning.

I liked the way hey had done up the old property and left the character. The swing door was very stiff and difficult with hand luggage a suitcase would not have made it through.

The room, 108, and the en suite were large. It was nice to have a king size bed and a nice tub. But it wasn't well insulated and got a little chilly. The street was very noisy and the windows did nothing to block the sound. Seems like a really cool hotel unless you want quiet time.

Great customer service. Owners of hotel are incredible hosts. Will defiantly stay there again on next trip to Aberdeen.

Check in is done by the bar staff, they were very friendly and helpful. I had a double room which was a good size. The bathroom was also good, large walk in shower and a roll top bath. The bed wasn’t very comfortable and the pillows very flat. The hotel is just behind Union Street and 5 minutes from the train station so a good location in that respect BUT it is also very close to bars and pubs which play extremely loud music until the early hours and as a result I got no sleep at all. The road outside is also busy so expect street noise.

The staff was fantastic! I did not like that there was no telephone in the room and that guests it seems were required to rely on their own cell phone. I did not have access to a cell phone, and would have appreciated a phone in the room.
