Carmelite Hotel

Hotel staff were very friendly, and the room was very comfortable.

It's a lovely quirky hotel and I would recommend it to any able bodied person. The only problem is that like most hotels they try to add disabled facilities to an older building. The downstairs disabled/baby changing room is through a pair of double doors with a deep wooden lip. This is extremely difficult to work when you're pushing yourself along. Especially on the way back out. The room was very nice but had no pictures or art work at all which was odd as the rest of the hotel was full of it. The wet room was big but it sloped down to the shower and even though they provided a wet chair it wasn't fixed in so it was OK if you walk and sit safely or had a waterproof wheelchair but unfortunately I had neither. Also the sink was too high for a person in a chair. I spoke to management when I checked out and they said they would look into these things.

Carmelite was a very good stay. The staff were outstanding in their assistance to our group, provided excellent advice and went out of their way to produce the extra effort. Certainly recommend this hotel if you are in Aberdeen

This hotel is a little tired looking. The bathroom wasn’t great and the decor old in the room. The main issue was the noise from a bar over the road, which continued passed midnight. If you’re going out for the night in Aberdeen and are looking for a good location just to sleep, this place might be ok. The staff were polite and efficient on the plus side. Otherwise avoid, there are better alternatives in the city for the same price.

A nice unusual hotel, handy for the station & town and with a chef who applied some nice twists to the food. Sorry I missed a live music night.

Cheap, clean, comfortable, excellent location and friendly staff.

I stayed 2 night but they didnt clean the room. No toilet paper either. Very noise at night time. Was very cold at night, no heater and noextra blanquets either

Nice enough hotel right in the city centre, great value and would stay again
