The Lindy Renaissance Charleston Hotel

Had an amazing stay at the hotel! Terri really stood out— she handled both the barista and valet roles like a pro. Super kind, always smiling, and made sure everything ran smooth from my coffee to my car. People like her make a place worth coming back to.

We spent 5 great days at the Lindy Renaissance in Charleston. From the warm welcome we received upon arrival, we had a great stay. To highlight a few aspects of our stay that we especially enjoyed: - The front desk (including concierge) at this hotel are top-notch. We always got a nice welcome back when we returned from one of our adventures. Seth in particular does a great job. - The parking valets are really good. We choked at the $51/day for parking, especially when there is a garage across Wentworth Street, but unlimited in and out privileges and quick, friendly service make it worth it. - Location: 1 minute walk from King Street, 5 minutes from the market. This hotel is right in the middle of things. - The big bowl of Dum-Dums at the elevators: OK, we're big kids, and we loved getting our lollipops every day. - The rooms are comfortable and quiet, housekeeping was first-rate, and the climate control systems works well. - We hate paying a destination fee, but at least we got a $15 credit for breakfast with it. We had a good experience at Handy and Hot. We went there three mornings and had pretty good food. I especially enjoyed the sausage cinnamon roll - it sounds strange, but it's really tasty! The folks who work there are lovely (thanks, Terri! and thanks to the cashier originally from DC whose name I didn't get!) and made having a bite in the morning an absolute pleasure. About the only complaints (and they're minor ones) I have: - Our room was a little on the dark side. This seems to be a problem in many Marriott properties due to the light bulbs they use. They are barely bright enough to read in bed. - The coffee at Handy and Hot is atrocious. In a town that's so obsessed with great food (and often delivers), can't you do any better than Starbucks? The decaf, in particular, was undrinkable.

Richard was amazing when it came to getting my luggage and getting my car also all the front desk people. Hannah was amazing as well!! Highly recommend!! Great Hotel with amazing staff!!!

My wife and I chose to stay at the Lindy Renaissance due to its location and value. My wife and I will continue to stay here for every Charleston trip due to the professionalism and hospitality of the fantastic workers like Richard, Brian, and Hannah. Their dedication to others is commendable and is the reason I will recommend all of my family and friends to stay here. Thank you for the fantastic work and we look forward to our next stay!

Regine... made of stay in Charleston amazing! It was our first time traveling to SC and Regine made it memorable. We messed up our reservation, she made it right without huff or fuss, just an efficient solution. Sights, restaurants, Regine's recommendations were always solid. We missed the lobby happy hour spread by a few minutes, she set up complementary drinks in the bar. It's nice to have a person SC and in Charleston, that person is Regine. Room was fairly comfortable. Location is good.

Both restrooms in the lobby and one elevator were out of order for the five days we were there. The front desk clerk when we checked in was difficult to understand.

This hotel is centrally located downtown with walking access to great shopping, the City Market area, and great restaurants. Before our visit, Marriott customer service was not able to handle a simple date change after 2 calls lasting an hour. Very frustrating! With the help of Micaela, a front desk manager at the hotel, it was done easily over the phone. She ably assisted with check-in to make sure the alteration was handled smoothly. The front desk staff people, Regina and Sydney, were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. At any hotel, it is gratifying to know you have people like them who can assist along the way! The restaurants were good and we enjoyed the quick offerings as well as Lenoir’s level of food and service. We enjoyed our stay and would return to this lovely hotel.

Richard the lovely man that helped us up to our room with our luggage was absolutely charming!! He is a thoughtful, kind man. I hope you treat him well!!
