Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Macedonia, OH

We had a late check in. When we arrived there was no parking, two trucks one a box truck and one with a trailer took up multiple spots. When we asked where to park we were directed to a different company’s parking lot. And this was just the beginning. The outside door by our room was propped open and there was water damage and what looked liked mold on the walls in the hallway, the carpet was stained and filthy. We would NOT have stayed but I knew I was charged 112 dollars for this SAD and DISGUSTING hotel. Once we got in our room the smell was terrible and more stained carpets. There were electrical wires hanging out of the air unit. This is one of those places if you don’t mind filth and possibly bugs make your reservation! In the morning light this place looked even worse than the night before.

The location to the Cuyahoga Valley National PO ark was excellent. Easy to find. The complimentary breakfast was good. The breakfast attendant was very good.

There was long black hairs on the bathroom floor and tub surround. You could hear the occupants above us. The front desk clerk wasn't very friendly. Older property shows some west and tear.

It's was clean. That's it. Everything else was horrible. Beds suck, furniture and walls bad shape. Very noisy. Things walls. Guests making noise all around us till 3 am. Pool was not heated. Tvs not working (did get new room for that).

Toilet dirty. Broken bathroom floor. Out dated.

When we arrived to check in there was nobody to be found. A plaque was on the check-in desk saying they would be back soon, as they were assisting a customer. We tried to find somebody to no avail. There was no phone number available to call. We finally called the reservation office for the Hotel chain. They said they couldn't call but gave us a number for us to call. We tried that and the phone in the back office rang but again nobody home??? Approximately 45 minutes after we arrived a girl came walking into the area and asked to help us. I mentioned we have been waiting for over a half hour. She said she was in the Laundry Room as if that explained everything??? I could go on and on about this but there are just too many shortcomings to try and address them. Will I ever stay at a Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, I think NOT!!

Check in and out was easy. Convenient location for our needs. Decent breakfast. Quiet.

This hotel is not up to Radisson standards. Arrived on Saturday, 8/9/25 at 2:30 prior to a 4:30 wedding in Peninsula. Were told we couldn’t get into the room prior to the 3:00 check in. Returned at 3:30 and given room key cards. Upon opening room door, we could see the room had not been cleaned and prepared for new guests. Both beds were in disarray & the room a mess. We had been asked at 2:30 which floor we preferred & we told them any floor was fine. Returned to Lobby where she changed our rooms to a “clean” on. This room had tattered curtains, one side was 6 inches shorter than the other, having been cutoff jaggedly. The bathroom had a poop stain on the bottom. The vanity was in poor repair and was not cleaned well. The bathroom wall also had dirt spots on it. The towels were mismatched but clean. The pool was closed with an out of order sign posted. The first floor vending machine also had an out of order sign on it. In the lobby, there was a dusty red Christmas arrangement on the front table. Remains of a Christmas garland were on the mantle. The decor also included faded, dusty fake daffodils. Outside at the front entrance, the shrubbery beds had weeds & dead flowers/greenery. In the back parking lot, there were 2 old tires propped up at the end. There was a bag of trash in the lot. This was a horrible hotel but unfortunately we did not have time to seek an alternative. I have stayed at nicer Red Roof Inns for a better rate. The free breakfast was okay.
