Seville Plaza Hotel, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

Because it’s a rather busy street and there is a parking lot just off the street, we got a bunch of idiots dance and play loud music at that parking lot at around 1 am. I literally called the police. I highly recommend to bring a pair of earplugs. Also if possible change for an off-street room. The staffs were great tho, but breakfast was basically bread, bagel and yogurt. Not even milk. Room was a bit smelly I would say, but overall fine given its price. Location was fine, somewhat close to Westport and Nelson-Atkins. Very close to the streetcars (they aren’t loud if you’re curious) but the streetcars aren’t running yet. Also it could be just me I cannot find the hair dryer. I’m constantly confused by that, why is it so hard to find hair dryers in a lot of American hotels? Do they make people feel uncomfortable? If I had the chance to visit KC again I’ll pay an extra few dozen bucks to live on the ones closer to Westport. If they got too expensive then ok I’ll bring my earbuds. Bedding was fine and clean and also the hot water is functioning, and I get a private space.

Room was spacious and staff was very friendly and helpful.

The internet was sketchy, therefore Wi-Fi was not good, nor would the tv connect to any shows or movies.

The hotel didn't look like the photos online at all. The bed sunk so much, i am pretty sure it was broken. The air conditioning system in our room was so loud. The bagel and fruit bar, 2 types of bagel and a bowl of apples. The tv wouldn't work. The mini fridge was set to the coldest setting and was 50+ degrees. They initially couldn't find my reservation. Parking is extremely limited and the new electric train is right outside and you hear it all night.

Helpful staff

We were aware the hotel is preparing for renovation (needed) and was on a street under some renovation so we were not surprised it is tired around the edges. But we found the staff friendly and we had no special needs so we had no real issues. I could suggest when they upgrade the property they spend a little money upgrading the bathroom linens. They were very tired.

We thought it was a great location being on the Plaza but boy were we wrong. About 2 am on Saturday night, someone broke into my truck and smashed 2 windows. When I reported it to the front desk, they responded with a "yeah, we heard something like that happened last night. That happens around here now and then." When I asked what their policy was for this they said they weren't responsible for vehicles parked in their lot. I filled out a police report and got an apology from the front desk. No comp'd room. No discount on the bill. No points. Just a promise that they would review the cameras and a manager would be following up with me. That was 7 weeks ago and still no response. Windhields cost me $920. Don't take a chance here.

The building was really cool looking and clean! A lot of it was very outdated though and the elevator was a little scary

Appreciated the staff who were cool and holding it down at the front desk. Room cleanliness could have been better and breakfast was just what they said: bagels. It’ll be in a great location with the tram when that’s ready.

Alice, the front desk agent was kind and hospitable. She made the stay with my pet comfortable and stress free. We felt so welcome. 10/10 would recommend.
