Hampton Inn Chelsea, Mi

The convivence of the location to the event we where attending. Near restaurants was helpful. Staff was very pleasant in with our late arrival.

Bedding had stains on them, found trash on the floor from previous guest, and bath room needed a little more TLC. The bath tub needed a little more attention around faucet a little mode growing around handle.

Needs updates! Toilets are stained, walls are dirty, wall paper peeling, hot tub is closed down, pool walls are in very poor shape.

The hot tub was not only closed, but boarded over, so don’t expect it to be reopened anytime soon. We book based on hot tubs for soaking after driving all day, so their pictures and ads are a lie and we were greatly disappointed. The breakfast was good with a wide variety of choices, another thing that’s important to us.

The staff, especially the night manager Ken, was very accommodating to our time schedule and requests. Our a/c didn’t work properly and he offered to move us to another room. Unfortunately, by the time we returned to our room each night we were so tired after doing yard work for my parents all day that the thought of having to pick everything up and transfer to another room was too overwhelming because we were exhausted. He still took the time to help us whenever he could.

The a/c was unreliable.

Everything was pretty much ok. Not bad. Not great. The bathroom sink was clogged. Very slow to drain. The toilet ran constantly, 24/7. It wasn't a big deal, but it's a big waste of water. These items should have caught much earlier.

Spacious, clean, comfortable room. Breakfast was included and was ok but not great (a lot of options, including waffles, eggs, yogurt, sausage; quality was mid). Staff was friendly and helpful. Great location close to the highway in Chelsea.
