Sheraton Buganvilias Puerto Vallarta

The room on the RCI page is a renovated room, ours was not. We asked for a room with a balcony, they showed us one on our floor, but said we could only have it if we canceled our plans and did their presentation the next day. We said no. Then they called our room and we said no. Then they literally stopped us on the sidewalk and we said no. The first night (during the World Cup) we learned than just below our windows is a huge nightly party. They can't control that I suppose, but I think they put us here for saying no. All of the staff here, except the sales staff, have been great. The food is hit or miss. I think our trust in RCI is shot, and we will stay away from Sheraton from now on.

My family and I stayed at the Sheraton Buganvilias from April 2 to 13. Check in was relatively quick. We then met with another staff member that explained how things worked, with booking reservations for dinner and showing us things on the map. Prior to arriving I had reached out to the resort asking that we not be talked to about time shares. This was acknoledged when we checked in, but a staff member still talked to us about the timeshare. For the most part, we enjoyed our time at the resort, but found that there was not much for our teen to do for activities as most of them were geared towards kids, who could go to Sheratoons and adults who could do a variety of things, like aquasize or a different alcohol tastings depending on the day. We found that the buffet was limited in the selection during the week, with the exception of the Sunday brunch. We wished that the selection that was provided during the Sunday brunch was offered during the week. We did enjoy eating at the Italian restaurant as we found the dinners to be good. The Mexican night was also enjoyed as there were several options of things to try. We did not try any of the other restaurants due to the menus offering very few options to choose from as they seemed to be more upscale, which didn't appeal to one or more of us. The room met our needs for out stay, we did have a balcony. There was no drying rack outside to hang our wet swim trunks. The resort is fine for 3 days or a weekend, but not for anything longer than that. The resort was in walking distance into central Puerto Vallarta. There are 2 two pools, one pool that was busy and had most of the ativities and music playing and the other pool was the quieter pool. We spent the majority of our time at the quieter pool, but did enjoy both pools. The bartenders at the quieter pool bar did a great job at remembering us. There is the option to order food and eat poolside at your chairs, which resulted in birds being a nuisance. A "bird lady" was there only in the morning, which helped keep the birds away. We choose to go to the Italian restaurant, which turned into a snack restaurant during the day. The staff there were amazing as they remembered us and our drink orders as we tended to be there everyday. The only nightly entertainment was karaoke and no nightly show. We were able to find chairs by the pool every day, as there really wasn't any pool chair wars, like we have experienced at other resorts. Overall the resort is nice. There really isn't a beach as it is mainly rocky.

I really enjoyed my time, here all the staff were very kind and fun especially the entertainment staff. The pool was very fun and clean as well.
