Independence 47 Hotel

Dirty. Chair had several stains. Free bteakfast was a joke, bottle of water, apple, stale granola bar served in a brown paper bag. No blankets in the room

The staff was extremely pleasant. The room was nice, but when we were leaving we could tell that the desk chair was very stained. They only provided 2 bath and hand towels and 1 wash cloth for a 2 queen size bed room, which makes it a little difficult to shower for a family. We had to crank up the heater because there were no blankets on the bed, just a thin comforter. I'm sure when it is 100 degrees outside this is preferable, but in the winter it was a little cold in the room. It sounds like my stay was uncomfortable, but it really was a nice quiet hotel. The hotel is right across the street from the Wolf Lodge and down the street from the Ody Sea Aquarium, which would make it nice for a family.

The staff was very Helpful and courteous. Nice hotel!

The courtyard was nice with chairs to sit out front was nice. Toilet valve was turned off

We were not alone. Got our key opened the door flipped on the light. They were everywhere. Turn around and checked out. Still watching my bank to make sure I will not be charged. I’m a little disappointed that this place was on the list.

While my room was gigantic, I was put in the smoking section because of the dogs which smelled completely disgusting. The hotel did try to address the smell in the hallway that seeped into my room, but if you allow smoking then I don’t think it’s possible to ever get that smell out. The room was also very large but very uninviting. Just felt yucky to me between the horrid smell and the dingy furniture and awful lighting. I also never got the wi-fi to work and ended up needing to upgrade my phone service since I blew through my data plan in the 4 days I was at the hotel.

It has changed. They had no blankets. Internet was terrible if any. Used to be our favorite. Now they have split up and not as nice.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. The people working there were so nice and helpful. The bed was great. This was a special time for us my husband met he sister for the first time in 69 years and this Hotel just completed our special trip.

Some simple cleaning and landscaping could enhance the exterior of this place. Powerwashing walk ways can make a huge difference. The room wasn't bad, it just needs the walls wiped down...oh and uh, there were ants on the bathroom sink all 4 days of my stay. I never did get my room serviced, even when I'd leave. Covid...?

It was a last minute thing but they made it work out great for me. I will stay there again
